halo 1 and halo 2 are my favorite halo games :D the only one that comes close to being in 3rd place, would be the halo ODST...and i only consider that game interesting, to say the least XD they forgot the battle rifle ._.

@gagnon1993 Actually they didnt betray them. I read on a site that the sides were the same from halo 2 but Bunggie didnt want the player to be confused on who he was fighting so they just had the grunts and hunters on the covenent side, but really in Halo 3 the hunters and grunts were on both sides.

@gagnon1993 Grunts have always been hideous minus the breathers. You didn't see it in conventional gameplay in the other games, but people would find their haxory ways.

That said, you're half right and half.. not right. The Hunters and Grunts were split: Many Grunts tried to go with the Elites, as they were slightly "nicer". Many, however, just stayed with the squads they were presently in, having no other option but to die trying to defect.

Hunters go with who they feel is strong.

In my opinion, halo 2 had the best music and story line. I remember getting the game when i was 14. the graphics, cinematic, and music epically blew my fucking balls off!!! :D its funny when u think about how powerful gaming systems have become over the past 20 years. i think we all had a moment where we were so amazed by a game that we thought. "this is it!, It aint gunna get any better than this!" and that's what halo 2 did 4 me. lol :P

Bungie's done with the series. And that's probably a good thing. They can't do much more for Halo. 343's basically been working on Halo stuff (aside from the games) for at least a couple years now. Anniversary was a success IMO, and in 2014 they had better make a Halo 2 anniversary as well (2004 being the release date of Halo 2.)
