  • The man is enjoying himself so much.

  • Please what's the title of the DVD? I want to buy it

  • This song makes me cry a little inside because of how perfect it is

  • It works so well as a waltz that I was second-guessing myself: "Was that actually written in 3 ??" Nope. But the surgeon amputated a beat so brilliantly that it's seamless.

I bet K Jarrett could perform the song's missing beat just as well as the 3 per bar that he kept in this version. :^D

  • this is the perfect sweetness to recreate the innocence of a child

  • so deadly serious but so beautiful. just awesome

  • f* yeah - this is not awesome - this is unbelievable !

    :-) !

  • to the guy who said it was nice a waltz...you know it was always in 3/4? it's still nice as a jazz waltz, mind you, just like Alice in Wonderland as done by the Bill Evans Trio, or Someday My Prince Will Come as done by the Miles Davis with Bill Evans on piano. There's a history of this...

  • @Navonodo No, this song originally was in 4/4. See the movie, or go to the column on the right side of this page and click on the Cliff Edwards version. He sang it in the movie and it's in 4/4.

The two other songs are in 3/4, but not this one.

  • MAGIC .................... (:-)))

  • Awesome!!! Thank you so much for posting this. I faved it a while ago, just wanted to let you know how much I appreciate it and love to listen to it and watch it.

  • can you put up goegia on my mind from that dvd please??

  • This tune gives me the sweet memory when I was a child, thank you Keith !

  • wow so beautiful i would have love to be there.

  • just once i'd like to experience what keith feels while he's playing.

    shit looks intense, man

  • master !

    :-) !

  • Keith always does that

  • you mean the dude on the piano whos like "nee nee nee" yeah i know

    Good playing tho

  • That's Keith's way of living his music, it's peculiar but I don't find it too disturbing

  • it is if you want to hear the music lol. I wonder if he's a fan of Glen Gould(he used to hum when he played).

  • This takes me back to my Childhood. Beautiful.

  • You can see in their faces that they truly love what they're doing.

  • Paul? How's Paul man? Gary and Jack play here.

  • i want this version

  • he s face is so funny at 6:40 hehe like he`s checking the drummer ` face to see he`s reaction

  • it´s because Keith expects the tune to be ended, but Paul keeps on playing to the bridge, that´s why Keith reacts this way

  • oh when keith enters at 3:14...

  • I ADORE THIS MAN!!!

  • ..master of ballads !

    beautiful !

    :-)

  • this is so great. thanks

  • Beautiful and great, phenomenal bass work.

  • Wow. Awesome!

  • being the piece in F, he is playing G7, C7 and Gb maj 7 (tritone for C7)

  • pazzion it sounds like a C13b9 with an e in the top.

    love it ; )

  • Left hand comping is PERFECT!!!

He is so subtle and precise, just leaving you at the edge of your seat man

  • This... is music from heaven.

  • For sure

  • BEAUTIFUL

  • When a piece of music has a physical effect on me like this one does, I know it's exceptional. Jarrett just feels the essence of this song and makes it come through. Beautiful.

  • pure genius

  • A perfect work of art, incredible. This tune has never and would never sound that good. Wow.

  • The original tune is also a waltz, too. Nice to hear it as a jazz waltz, though.

  • Keith, Jack and Gary play standards like this with heart. It's truly an amazing performance. I have the DVD and the complete ECM collection of the trio. It never gets old-it always sounds fresh. Highly recommend it-my favorite pianist and my favorite CD/DVDs in my collection.

  • In 3... I think he wants this to feel like some day my prince will come

  • No doubt you've heard this trio play Someday My Prince Will Come? How about Evans?

  • beautiful

    :-)

  • State of the ART!!!!!!!!!!

  • Keith non smette di farci sognare...

  • Great, as usual. And the tune is nice as a waltz. Jazz can always use another waltz.

  • Wow. What is that little run at 5:30? Awesome!

  • AND WHAT WAS THAT CHORD AT 5:30

  • I think it was a C7#9 aug 5.

  • Its C Alt (C Alter) C7 #5 b9/#9

  • Bb-

  • Such a beautiful song, performed absolutely wonderfully!
