Yes. There are also "Sidesweeper" or "Cootie" keys which are mechanically similar but do not use any additional electronics. This is a single lever key, used with a standard iambic keyer circuit.
don know a lot of morse code but I like it the last week my fahter in law and I went to Dyton Ohio to the bigest hamfest in the worl and it was Cool man i love it and i saw thos guys goin crazy whit the straigkey man end it was like
so cool now I have am MFJ - 557 Is not very cool but you got to star somewere
Excellent CW work Fabian -- and I love it that you can do that with a single-lever paddle, and not use iambic. Great stuff! (I too use single-lever paddles, but I max out at only 30WPM, even after 25 years!).
Sounds like music to me.. I am gonna need a lot of practice to get up that fast though. Another nice thing about code, is that it will get through with a weak signal when no other mode will.
dj1yfk for one. Lots can copy faster than it is humanly possible to send with a paddle, and rag chew at those speeds (80 - 100 wpm). Look up the fast operator group and the High Speed Telegraphy (HST) competitions.
I can't keep my key from moving when sending either. N5LWT

When you get that fast is the fellow receiving writing it down and reading, or just "hearing" it as you key?
B17MIKE 1 year ago
@B17MIKE At those speeds, "head copy" is the norm. No need to write anything down.

@B17MIKE if he was on the titanic, the people wouldnt of died cause the message would of been sent much faster

I'm looking for a single paddle morse key. Do You think that Kent is a good choice for first key?

Are you using this with a keyer? I hear more dots than I see movement.

And who can copy code that fast? And why would you even attempt to send it that way?
I hate braggarts.

I fail to see how this is bragging.

Going that fast with CW--to the point that 99% of those on the air don't have any idea what you're saying--what's good about it?
