Prophets have been called by God to speak for Him and to be His messenger. God speaks to these men who are commanded to reveal to mankind His plan of salvation, His will, His character, and His truth. These are the things that prophets of God do, but that Joel Osteen as a false prophet does not.

@Passiflora101 I have already been converted and deconverted. His messages are, in my opinion, metaphysical, and are good psychology. I like that approach. I tend towards spirituality, not religion, and I find Joel's approach very spiritual and practical. What is wrong with feeling good? After listening to a good sermon, don't you feel good? He teaches Christian living. You don't even have to be religious to find his sermons helpful. That is one of the reasons for his popularity.

It is priority one & must be emphasized, not play second fiddle to some topical sermon like "Don't Lose Your Joy." Topical sermons make it easy for a preacher to avoid the harder, deeper, more convicting texts. An understanding of the law of the Lord is the 1st step to salvation.

He may not preach every sermon about repentance and sin but what we must understand is like in a class we have2do some homework ourselves we shouldn't just crack open our bible when we get to church. There are different levels of where someone is spiritually/Joel talks about things that help us grow as christians what he speaks is true and if your not experiencing it than maybe one should ask themself is God in every aspect of my life.

Joel's preaching has been a great blessing to me. His teaching helps me to understand God's love and faithfulness. As far as eternal punishment in hell goes, that's a pagan belief picked up by the Catholic Church and the Protestants are still infected by it. The work of salvation for the whole world was accomplished at the cross. We repent when we understand Jesus saved us. It's not something we need to do in order to earn salvation.

During the time of the emperor Constantine, the Church decided that new copies of the Bible were needed. At that time there were about 30 different church locations.
Almost all the new copies of the Bible which were authorized at that time have been found, but not one of the older copies has ever been found.
For that reason, I will stick by the Golden Rule, The Ten Commandments and Christ's teachings. For some reason, the Church did not want us to know the whole truth. So much for religion.

Prophets have been called by God to speak for Him and to be His messenger. God speaks to these men who are commanded to reveal to mankind His plan of salvation, His will, His character, and His truth. A prophet testifies of Jesus Christ as the Son of God, that He died for our sins, they preach of repentance, condemnation, judgment, sin, and eternal torment. These are the things that prophets of God do, but that Joel Osteen as a false prophet does not.

I don't divise any "special revelation," or trust my feelings, intuitions or experiences, or say "God spoke to me & said..." then go with my feelings. That's Word of Faith nonsense. Because it is full of contradiction and error, and can be interpreted in so many different opposing ways. @Passiflora101 I have already been converted and deconverted. His messages are, in my opinion, metaphysical, and are good psychology. I like that approach. I tend towards spirituality, not religion, and I find Joel's approach very spiritual and practical. What is wrong with feeling good? After listening to a good sermon, don't you feel good? He teaches Christian living. You don't even have to be religious to find his sermons helpful. That is one of the reasons for his popularity.

@k0smon People can go to some other preacher for their evangelism? What if they think what JO preaches is all they need to know? Jesus COMMANDED us to go out into the world and preach the gospel. It is priority one & must be emphasized, not play second fiddle to some topical sermon like "Don't Lose Your Joy." Topical sermons make it easy for a preacher to avoid the harder, deeper, more convicting texts. An understanding of the law of the Lord is the 1st step to salvation.

He may not preach every sermon about repentance and sin but what we must understand is like in a class we have2do some homework ourselves we shouldn't just crack open our bible when we get to church. I can't say whether the man is a false prophet or not but every sermon that i have heard from him ive been blessed and at the end of the day we gotta remember nobodys perfect and that he is still a just a man we should all pray for each other espeacially those brothers and sisters in tv ministry

Remember leaders of different Christian sects, the will of God is undivided Christianity. Give up your churches, no more Catholic, Protestants, Adventist, JW etc. If you think that I am wrong then prove that you are right. Ive asked the Lord for the two simultaneous explosion of volcano in the U.S. within this month of December, pray that it wouldnt happen, if despite of your prayer it does happen, then know that God is with me therefore you have to listen to me.

The quotable false Prophet Joel Osteen on Larry King Live, King asks Joel, how about issues that the church has feelings about? Abortion? Same-sex marriages? Osteen responds, Yeah. You know what, Larry? I don't go there. King asks, you don't call them sinners? Osteen responds, I don't. King later asks, is that a word you don't use? Osteen responds back, I don't use it.. Although, Joel doesnt use it, the word "sin" appears in the King James Version of the Bible hundreds of times!

Osteen then responds, Well, I don't know if I believe they're wrong. But I just think that only God will judge a person's heart. I spent a lot of time in India with my father. I don't know all about their religion. But I know they love God. Joel by his own ignorance or deceit equates the god(s) of Hinduism with that of the Lord Jesus Christ!

Osteen then responds, you know, I'm very careful about saying who would and wouldn't go to heaven. I don't know. Joel Osteen by his very words denies that acceptance of Jesus Christ as your personal Lord and Savior is the only way that salvation is possible for the unbeliever.

Joel's preaching has been a great blessing to me. His teaching helps me to understand God's love and faithfulness. As far as eternal punishment in hell goes, that's a pagan belief picked up by the Catholic Church and the Protestants are still infected by it. The work of salvation for the whole world was accomplished at the cross. We repent when we understand Jesus saved us. It's not something we need to do in order to earn salvation.

How can someone be called a 'good' preacher if they never tell men to REPENT and to FLEE from the WRATH to come?!?The Bible calls these men 'dumb dogs' because they DON'T WARN THE PEOPLE!!!
Without repentance there can be NO remission of sin and HELL awaits the sinner!!! True love tells the whole truth NOT what men want to hear. Why doesn't Joel Osteen preach the Gospel according to Jesus Christ? Mr. Osteen needs to preach in a God honoring way, NOT in his typical man exalting way.

When you start diminishing a Pastor who brings hope to people hurting, who brings people closer to God, then you are the evil that we all need to watch out for in this world. Slingtagloable: Anyone that does not stand up for the Word of God on national television cannot be truly called a 'teacher' or 'pastor' of His Word in the first place. Man pleasing luke warm 'preachers' of the false Gospel desire 'political correctness' and are a MASSIVE offense to a most Holy God. Pastors need to bring 'hope' via the TRUTH, not the vain ideaologies and philosophies of there own sinful minds. Joel Osteen's interpretation of God is flawed and the 'hope' he brings is false.

The desires of men are not of God. But the hope of God is the first step to the beginning. God is with you and there in Congo. God to is angry! Have you called him in prayer to you for forgiveness. correcting things with the Lord and you? then you can begin to pray for his love to heal Congo`s people. Everyone suffers, needs love, gets discouraged, Joel Ministries leads to a good healthy life in God. To Heal beyond opinions for the spirit, heart, mind in our God. Where is healing for the world? "Hey, God loves you and wants the best for you!" No matter what we call or name a voice in the wilderness. We still look to see what it is we hear to believe. I hear something right in the world. The True Gospel of Jesus Christ is an offense to many and does not attract the masses. It is reverential unto God and does not in any way seek to please men.

Joel Osteen uses as do many false prophets an array of false doctrines that are extra-biblical, unbiblical or antibiblical such as almost a total disregard or absence of the consequences of sin and eternal damnation. I pray that those who are being deceived are given Spiritual Gifts, such as Discernment, Spiritual Wisdom and Spiritual Knowledge so they may not be mislead by these charlatans. Praise be to God and may God Strongly Rebuke the False Teachers! Amen
