for the comment that this is a singing competition on the notes up there, Its only a singing competition until the judges put it up to america THEN it is whoever they want as their idol. You think Taylor Hicks was the best singer of his group? This is Americas Idol Not the best singer. Adam ran circles around Kris as far as singing, but Kris is obviously who america wanted as their Idol. Im a really big fan of Adams, and was very disappointed, but thats how this competition goes sometimes.

I've mentioned before that Adam is a technically superior vocalist and that's why I voted for him. Adam's vocal pitch is somewhere between Tenor and Contralto which is extremely unique for a male vocalist. He has also mastered the passaggio (Transition from chest to resonate head voice) while keeping his vocal timbre in check. Adam's huge vocal range has allowed him to sing a wide genre of music thereby allowing him to transcend the musical listening generation gap.
