I was at this game. Lamar was sleep walking throughout the whole game. It seemed like he didn't even want to be out there. But the real reason the lakers lost is because they made Kirk Hinrich and Duhon look like all stars at the end. The lakers let Hinrich just go off. Kobe had a great game shooting the ball. there is a mental imbalance. Please watch 20 - 25 games of Jordan in playoffs(any year) and then watch Kobi's. U cannot compare KOBI to JORDAN .. impossible .. Kobi is good .. Jordan is GOD.

you guys are stupid, back when MJ played defenses were more physical, but they werent so complex, todays defenses are much more harder to score on. When MJ played it was about hard fouls, but hard fouls isnt defense its a scare tactic, todays defenses are more intelligent

I was at this game. Lamar was sleep walking throughout the whole game. It seemed like he didn't even want to be out there. But the real reason the lakers lost is because they made Kirk Hinrich and Duhon look like all stars at the end. The lakers let Hinrich just go off. Kobe had a great game shooting the ball. But his d was suspect at the end too. overall kobe played great and the lakers defense let this one get away.

Those were tough defenses, the kind you see in the Spurts, Celts and Pistons of today, but the champion Celts back then were better than these Celts, ditto the Bad Boy Pistons over the Pistons who won an NBA title this decade.

Kobe is a good, but not great mid range shooter. In fact too many deep 3 points shots ineffectively than any player I have ever seen. He could shoot a higher percantage if he focused on scoring in the mid range and closer like Jordan and other classical scorers, instead of shooting glory shots. The skill is there, but not the wisdom.

dumb nigga. Micheal played 3 on 1 thru out his career. MJ was thrown to the ground numerous times driving to the basket. Just check out his '80s games. ZONE DEFENSE is a college NCAA stuff. Too weak, too amateurish, lack of professionality. Still Kobe struggles to shoot over 47%. Never seen more overrated hyped up superstar. MJ would kill this defense with close to 60% shooting average. so would Bird & Miller. To bad, they played in toughest defensive NBA era.

With a defensive 3-rule (which was introduced the same time as the "Zone Defense", Power forwards and Centers can't wait in the restricted area for guys like Kobe and Jordan to make their move, and thus not making it a true zone defense, but more of a watered down man-to-man. Pretty much all NBA teams are too scared to go to a zone-defense because they don't know what the heck it is.
Defenses these days are weak in the Western Conference. Check the average NBA scores for more proof of that.

Kobe is a good midrange shooter at best. MJ is the greatest midrange shooter their ever played the game. Next is probably Bird & Miller. Kobe is not even close.

That arugment is bull on both sides. Michael was doubled on and off the ball consistenlty, as faced constant rotations off the dribble, which any person with eyes can see. You have no basis for this argument. No defense Kobe has faced was toughter than what Michael faced. No hand checking, no contact and lack of defensive intensity by the majority of players in the League on the ball in today's game.
