In this case it doesn't ,the plates i used were brass neg.side, coated with stainless which it doesn't do anything to these plates ,now the stainless steel plates which are the positive will blacken.The plates are a heavy gauge metal unlike the smaller gauge material which will heat up qucikly and brake down faster. Spacing also makes a difference,haven't checked lpm yet

I just did my first experiment like this. Doesn't brass oxydize? And then become less effective? Just my initial thought.
