Yes, Dudley ranks higher than Ryu, but Ryu has many natural advantages against Dudley -- very strong anti-air, a legion of knockdown moves, great reach, and loads of crouching forward cancels that target Dudley's anemic defense against low attacks. I'd say jamiany and deathcrusader are right, it's about even.

I'm quite certain all of Dudley's Super Arts will out-prioritize the Shin Shoryuken. Even Rolling Thunder should go through Shin Shoryuken and hit, though you won't get many hits.

SSRK has one of the highest priorities in the game. rolling thunder wouldn't touch it. corkscrew does have high priority though, but i haven't watched this vid yet, so...

Shin Shoryuken snuffs pretty much all regular and special moves, but dashing supers almost always trump single-hit ones. Super Art priority is hard to gauge, though, because it's impossible to do them truly simultaneously. They will always be sequential, not concurrent.

If somebody were to do a scientific test on Shin Shoryuken vs. Rolilng Thunder, I'd be happy to be proven wrong.

Scientific test? It's called training mode. You just test rolling thunder before and after shinsho. FYI, rolling thunder is just fast, it doesn't give *any* kind of invincibility on startup. Think of it as a faster version of chun li's SA2. In other words, dudley would run into a clean hit of shinsho wether he does rolling thunder before or after. Dudley's corkscrew blow has some invincibility frames on startup, but since they're not as much as shinsho, ryu will always get the non-clean hit.

This is just one of those things you're supposed to play around in training mode on your own. If you won't believe me because I'm not recording it for you then that's a shame, but these are things people find out while playing around in training mode. While amusing to see, they don't serve much purpose. I don't even have recording equipment anyway..
