I didn't really discover Grand Funk until the Flint and Mark Farner solo LPs approx. '78. Anyway, the two GFR LPs they did in '81-'83 were I thought great, but things didn't take off. I remember feeling that Craig Frost shoulda been a part of the band again, and that Don Brewer should have sung more leads. There is a track from a live show ('81-'82) on the box set, and I thought they sounded great. And I loved Dennis Bellinger's bass. Joan Jett/GFR on tour. Love to see a live CD released.
dude, mark, you seriously need to get over it and get back together with don and mel. we all know max cant cut it and bruce is a good guitarist. so just go out as grand funk railroad; mark don mel bruce. do it sir, bring back your glory. the best gfr of all time. the best band on the planet
As with all my GFRxR/Farner videos, there is a link in this video's description to a petition to induct Mark Farner & GFRxR into The Rock & Roll Hall Of Fame. It takes only seconds to sign it. Come on all you Funk Brothers & Sisters. We need your signature & comments!
@PackedFunk I'm gonna sign for GFR! but I generally think the halls is run by douchebags who value shitty pop music over real Rock-N-Roll...R-N-R in name ONLY
From one war to another, my influence is always present. The paltry armies of the Universe, are but playthings to me.

Mark Farner by far greatest guitar player ever. Been a fan of GRAND FUNK RAILROAD for FORTY YEARS. Seen them in concert in 1974 in st. louis Mo.

I do wish that GFR survey page had Mark's website listed too. It only displays the GFR site and not MARKFARNER dot com
