  • its bender from futurama!!

  • Man those trains are so ugly

  • what sort of power does it have ? it looks like a beast. . a bit ugly but.

  • This is from Freightliner:

The front of the cabs are a result of future proofing the design to the pending locomotive TSI.

The TSI calls up two euro norms that require a 3m cube survival space in the cab for the driver as well as the requirement to fit anti-climbers.

As a result we have three stage crash provisions:

    Stage 1 - Collapsible buffers

Stage 2 - Anti climbers engage to prevent climbing and also second stage crush zone

Stage 3 - Crush box hidden behind the buffers.

  • looks like modern or US version of the class 58

  • What an ugly looking loco.

  • I wonder if they'll take the safety rails off the sides and replace with Tubed rails. But it's still a beast. Some ones found some old 58 body shells and cut and shut a few bits.

  • The current rails are wooden, so I guess they will be replaced!

  • looks so much more acceptable without all the "styling" covers on the front! but still damned FUGLY!!

  • Apparently to be allocated the 'class 70' ID & already nicknamed by UK rail enthusiasts as 'The Predator'. This is certainly one ugly loco. Some locomotive... It looks more like something the A-Team built!

  • Im sure we will be seeing more of this ugly duckling LOL

  • wow, it's uglier than class 67.
