if you could have gotten Malwarebytes installed somehow (by download onto flashdrive), you might have been able to run it in safe mode and took it down that way.. system restore might have been a cleaner fix for you though
You might be able to sue them for mature content popups, but one person tried suing the creators of WinFixer, a similar, but less threatening scareware after they had purchased the software. She eventually dropped the lawsuit, but the FTC later took down this rogue in 2008. I would only do it if you would let the lawsuit stand out even when it appears not to change or have any results. If you can persevere and fight the good fight, I would try suing them.
i remember getting this scareware b4 i was glad my uncle was a computer genius and helped me get rid of it i bet the guys who made the scareware are lazy nerds that need to go to jail and you would be able to sue them its illegal just to make scareware just enough show a minor 18+ stuff
Program your own security software, that's the only way you could be 100% sure its safe and you will never have to worry about virus again, thats what i have been using for 4 years now with out a problem, Check out a Home made, DIY security suite, in action
2day i was only on youtube and i left and when i came back i saw a software downloading itself i tried 2 stop it but then it opened up itself saying i have what number of viruses i was like i don't have any virus i tried 2 close it but i couldn't it opened up alot of other stuff but i defeated it in safe mode(: the bastard deserved it.Has any1 else had a scareware install itself instead of having a pop up window?
McAfee is probably the worst Antivirus you can ever have. IF you get McAfee full security that's good but McAfee Virus Protection or Virus Scan Plus never actually find real spyware just common viruses. Webroot is awesome though it finds just about all spyware.
aye wassup bfslim i just got this tonite but the virus thing i have found it but i dont kno if its really getting rid of it........how would i kno if its really gone man?
good for you. but you relaize only the program was removed, not traces of the program (dll files that are infected, exe files that are infected, tmp files that are infected, reg keys that are left in your registry, etc)
I got this horrible thing earlier tonight, I tried to run my virus programmes and safe mode but neither would work. I think I've managed to fix it with a system restore. Fingers crossed, everything seems to be acting fine.
I JUST got this tonight. I was able to get rid of it by shutting down and restarting in Safe Mode With Networking. I had Teamviewer already installed though, so yeah...Anyway, my friend took control of my computer, went into regedit and got rid of it for me.
Did a restart back into normal mode and haven't had a problem so far (been roughly...1 1/2hrs?)
Don't trash your hard drive trying to get rid of this thing 'cause its not hard at all.
Also, I used to have McAfee. It's a terrible program.
The only way I could get rid of this virus was to wrip out my hard drive and lost all my music, pics, etc. and just over all a pain in the ass to recover everything.
restart your computer and while its loading open task manager really fast and find belesysguard.exe and ope file location just delete that and its over :D
I wish i would have made this video explaining more of how to get rid of it, i was just documenting my struggle with it, rather than make a guide how to get rid of it. This video still shows how to genreally get rid of it. But any further questions can be answered if u send me a message.

I had this nasty piece of internet herpes. I fixed it by booting up in safe mode and running malwarebytes.

you need to boot up into safe mode if you've gotten something nasty. If that don't work use a bootable disk

malwarebytes rocks, and rkill also. I had a big problem with these virus scares until I rebooted in safe mode with networking and ran these programs.

use makawarebytes....it deletes fake alerts or joke programs =)
TheHacker1456 2 years ago
This virus has been on my PC for months, every time I delete it, it comes back within a few days.
It has a couple sister viruses including: antivirus 2010, your pc protector, and internet security 2010.
one of them has a warning that you are being attacked by "NetSky" (sky net) which I found humorous.
