b) Okay, the first half of the last book just proves that meyer knows nothing about biology. Don't guys still have to MAKE sperm? that is a CHANGE. The second half takes around 200 pages to prepare for a giant fight, and then they sit around and talk it out.

I read the books because a lot of myfriends said they were really good, and I was a really big fan for about 6 months, but when I read them again, the hype had died down a bit, and I saw them very differently. If you want to talk about something you dislike, you have to know the material. I've also seen both movies.

One more thing, I think it is kind of weird that she made vampires sparkle, but its her book and she controls whatever happens in them. I mean you don't go all angry, when in other books, vampires can cross running water and aren't affected by garlic and don't turn into a bat and all that.

i like twilight, but as I'm not obsessed by it (thankfully) i decided to check this and see the reasons why you hate twilight. i had never really thought about many of the things you put here, but you're right. some things are hilarious. and yeah, the fourth book could have been WAYYYYYY better.

Amen! Twilight is a vomitously pandering self-insert (as a fanfiction editor for hire, believe me, I have seen self- insertion in droves.), half- baked, shitfest that exists only to alleviate the sexual frustrations of it's author.
The whole "team Edward, team Jacob" thing is fucking ridiculous, too. I have a shirt that says "Team Alucard" (the main vampire from the manga Hellsing) in the same font as it is on those Twilight team shirts. And it is my current favorite shirt of all time.

a) the series is sexist and advocates domestic abuse, stalking, unsafe sex, dropping out of school, and jumping off of cliffs in order to hallucinate about your crappy, personality-less ex-boyfriend. To name a few things.
b) Okay, the first half of the last book just proves that meyer knows nothing about biology. Don't guys still have to MAKE sperm? that is a CHANGE. The second half takes around 200 pages to prepare for a giant fight, and then they sit around and talk it out.

I actually tolerated Bella in the first book. She was annoying, but at that point, she didn't quite send me over the edge yet. The second book, however... I wanted to just push her off a cliff myself. Bella is almost without a doubt the weakest, most irritating protagonist I have ever read.

i like twilight because it teaches people about peer preasure( in a way). Bella has to choose between edward ( who may not be good for her [lets say he is the teen problem of smoking or drinking]) or she can choose jacob (she doesn't have to change for him and she will be fine). That comment just completely proved why the series is bad. What you're saying is essentially 'the book teaches that it's okay to give in to peer pressure'. If she had chosen Jacob, then maybe I would feel differently, but she didn't. She chose the man who stalked and abused her, blackmailed her into marriage, and tried to force an abortion on her. Of course, none of these things matter because Edward's "hawt", but maybe you should rethink your comment, it's more anti-Twilight than pro.

@1Rizzy1 The problem is that Bella makes the wrong decision, but is rewarded for it, showing the reader that what she did is fine, when it's obviously not.
I read the books because a lot of myfriends said they were really good, and I was a really big fan for about 6 months, but when I read them again, the hype had died down a bit, and I saw them very differently. If you want to talk about something you dislike, you have to know the material. I've also seen both movies.
