Hey CrazyBritishBloke, apparently you have never seen a chimney fire.

The creosote, and other combustion byproducts, fire on the walls of the chimney cause a convection current. The result of that convection current is like having a jet engine stood in one's living room with the afterburner pointing skyward.

A flame blows out the top of the chimney like a blowtorch except that flame could be as tall as ten meters above the chimney, and it ROARS!

There's no doubt about a true chimney fire!

@rockford74 not really actualy, global warming is uncontrollable. ice ages hapen because of gobal warming. what happends is the world slowely warms up over a long period of time, and the oceans current messes up os it doesn't let any warm, or cold water get anyware so it resaults in half the the world freezing over, and that make the cuurents even worse, and the other half freezes over. then the world warms up again, and the ice melts. it's a non-controlable cycle that has happend for ever.

I've noticed even up where I used to live in northwest Wisconsin they don't get as much snow as they used to :( that sucks! Hell I remember as a kid having to get on the roof and shovel the snow off so it didn't collaps.

Hey I've seen a couple of chimney fires.

Good little roar from it and a shower of sparks spewing out the top. Would make a spectacular vid. And if you don't shut it down quick, you will get a very spectacular video. LOL Just keep a lot of baking soda close by to smother the fire and shut the draft off and it'll go out.
