Keep Wheelin that XK, it is really nice to see others out there using it the way it was suppose to be used. What everyone does not know unless you own one, is that they are just like a a Rubi just larger. It is VERY capable & proves it everytime we pull out the rest. BTW I have a 2k7 XK Overland w/Hemi Lifted & Armored and loving it
I always had a thing for these Jeeps. No matter what the room size is, it's made to go off Roading. Whether you get the 5 or 7 Passenger Models, take all your Friends and do it! To bad these are no longer on market to buy. :/
i have a 3.0 v6 diesel. that that isnt sluggish. it rips the smile off of the faces of the kids in the hot hatches as they fail to keep up with me at the lights rofl, some people r just stupid and forget what they r driving, and since it has more torque than the hemi, i can keep up with them of-road, and tow more, i want more leg room in the back seats, jeep could have thinned the dash out by, oh i dunno 3 FEET! and moved the front seats forward to make room for the back
The only way the Commander has no room is if you are 400lbs. I traded my 06 Hummer H3 in for the Commander due to the increased amount of interior space. I love it! These vehicles have plenty of room in them. Not sure what soob4ME is talking about.
The vehicle is great! i do have to say it is very cramped in the back seats, but im in the drivers side, so i dont care much about that. other than that, beatiful vehicle! great montage
I really hate these vehicles although I must admit with some descent tires they could be pretty capable. Otherwise oversized, very VERY cramped and sluggish. Oh yeah, did I mention it has NO ROOM?
I love my Commander! You are right about space constrains on the back seat, but I would not call my 5.7L Hemi sluggish. Plus I love all the little things that came with the limited model. By the way, with 2.5 lift and larger tires I did better off road than some stock wranglers. Made me (and everyone else in the group) realize that I drive very capable off-road vehicle.
3rd row is for kids only. 2nd row is cramped. The view outside is somewhat nauseating for me... I like to see the sky and scenary, not other people's laps. Most new SUVs and cars have that cathedral type seating, which I hate. But I'm a really tall dude at 6'4". Most average size people would find the 2nd row just fine. I just find it kind of rediculous that my '96 subaru has far more headroom and legroom than a full-size Commander. They could have done a way better job.
before obama's approved the loan to chrysler and gm, this jeep commanders and most of chryslers or gm's were on sale big time and i actually got mine a brand new commander fully package 18 grand off from the dealership.......Now, it's hard to get one.
Thank you for your comments...I totally agree with the fact that Jeep really needs to offer a moderate lift and bigger tires right at the dealership! That vehicle has everything in it that I've ever wanted - Navigation, Stability & Traction control and Quadra Drive II. Heck, I can even adjust my pedals up and down :-). And now with kids I really started to take advantage of that third row sittingHope to keep this one for a while!
I am right there with ya man I have the same one all the way to the color and I love it plus the Hemi is quick for all the kiddies that wanna race b/c I have a Hemi cool vid though have a great day.
Beautiful Jeep! I'm really starting to like those Commanders.. Just a small lift and slightly larger tires and they look PERFECT (like yours!).. Why didn't Jeep sell them like that from the factory?! 5 Stars for you good sir!
"I've falling in love" with this Commander!

The commander is only good if you need 7 passanger seating, otherwise get the more nimble cherokee.

Yep, love my Commander! Modest 2.25 lift with 255/70-17 tires with stock rims will do for now.
