  • @rammstein11004 if you use boiling water, you're more like cooking ur tea not steeping it lol

  • haha, yeah i noticed that too.woah man, look at this tea, woooah, so anyway back to business*holy shit that looks good to smoke*.. anyways.. umm man this tea is gnna be good

  • @turanan lol good one

  • I have just started drinking green tea, I love it.

My left over Lipton tea bags will stay in the cabinet for a long time.

I use a cup with a infuser fit in the cup. So far, the best method I found is to pour the hot water first then the tea leaves. If I do it opposite, some oily residue builds up inside the infuser and doesn't taste as good.

I can re-use the leaves up to three times but usually I discard it after two.

  • Sixth.

  • Also, I don't agree that it is a constant of one spoonful per person. I believe that you should reduce that slightly for each additional person. For 10 people, you should probably only use 6 spoonfuls or so, otherwise it will be too strong.

People who say "one teaspoon per person and one for the pot" make terrible tea in my humble opinion!

  • 3 minutes is OK for teabags, but most loose black tea will need about 4 minutes at least.

And I can't believe that the so-called expert didn't heat the teapot! That water will immediately drop about 20º as it heats the pot (depending on its size, specific heat capacity and air temperature) and the tea will taste like dishwater! You must add boiling water, swill it about a bit to heat the pot, then throw that water away. Only then add the tea and boiling water.

    HEAT THE POT!

  • Good point. I was always taught to pour some boiling water in the pot first.

  • ich weiss nicht, ob ich morgen noch leben werde, freilich nicht. Aber dass ich, falls ich morgen noch lebe, Tee trinken werde, weiss ich gewiss...
