  • beatifull...

  • NICE!! NICE!! NICE!! LOVE IT MAN ITS THE BEST THNKS FOR THE UPLOAD

  • I think it would have worked better with a penny instead. The Quarter is a little heavy and caused it to drag somewhat. I'm 55, I know these things. I have 300 45's and about 3000 albums.

  • @FRSGUMP A Shure M44G would be even better!

  • @FRSGUMP

I have 4000 and 1000 45 rpm... NEVER more than 2 gr. on the needle... but 5¢ was OK on my old pick up...you're right...

  • Now that is what I call OLD SCHOOL.... some classic music play by some classic equipment, NICE :)

  • I want a record player:D and that song:D

  • Great song ,and I just love the record player.

  • the player looks like had gettin from Fallout 3 or fallout new vegas :P

But contemporary music miss valen so much!!!

  • That thing is so sick props man for having one

  • WMG ban the playing of this (i'm so sorry their coffers are empty...and emptying by the second if they keep treating their customers like sheep).... give me an old record player any day... much more realistic!

  • @Loobs666 Whew, you had me scared until I checked it. I guess the audio must be cut for international viewers. That's why I don't really do many videos like this on YT anymore.

  • epic

  • u know yer gonna ruin your records. those de jay record players already have the wrong weight, plus the quarter. it digs into the vinyl and ruins it

  • Beautiful song x#

  • MAFIA 2 OST!!!!!

  • R.I.P Ricardo Valensuela you will never be forgotten.

  • whats the quarter for?

  • @luis07teran the quarter adds weight to the tone arm to increase tracking and prevent skipping,

  • @GamezorWes really i didnt know that i have a record that always skips im going to try it thanks for the info

  • Vernon < CT

  • @MyGodzilla99 Man i don't know why but i laughed for like 10 min straight.

  • That is what I call audio equipment. Quarter on the arm always important. Amazing sound from that box.

  • Sometime you Just Gotta Say What the Fuck! is Amazing!

  • shyt iz koo

  • ah I used to sing this to my sister Donna - RIP hunny miss her so badly 1 year next month wish I could go back to last year :(

  • I love that song. maybe because Donna is my name.

    Ritchie was great singer.

  • nah man your going to wear your record out, two pennies taped together is enough. ;-)

  • Amazing that a 17 yeard old could be so wonderfully talented, not like American Idol idiots who think the world revolves around them. They're not fit to occupy the same planet as Ritchie. R.I.P. Ritchie.

  • @jexplink fuck you american idol is awesome! just kidding i agree! LOL

  • @angelsbeatlesfan You had me going just for a second there :-)

  • @jexplink Thanks For Your Words, This Is Great Music, Now And Forever...R.I.P. To All The Fantastic Singers Of '59 Plane Crash...

  • I like the scratchy version, because that's how I listened to it back in 1960, I had a 45 rpm record with FOUR songs by Richie on it, two to a side!

  • hoooo donna, wonderful, i like

  • Dude I want that record!

  • yes! nice record player.

  • well spent bud 25 cents dont ever get rid of it

  • That's the only way to listen to music. They claim these fuckin' ipods are so damn great. Hah! None of them can play a 45 or an 8-track.

  • the disc player es old i want one!

  • Best high school dance song ever,

  • ♥

  • The day, music died.....but real stars will never fall from heaven, Ritchies Ghost stayed above the stars and watch o'er us. And with him Buddy Holly and Big Bopper....

Although the stars are "dead", the real Rock'n'Roll will always live!

  • i love brenda lee, and its very cool that you have an ipod now :) i am 29 yo male

  • Good golly guys and gals. Can you remember buying your records and racing home to play them .One of my first was a certain Miss Brenda Lee .And now nearly 60 i have an ipod .How times have changed . So a BIG thank you toall who put up on here the records that made my youth .

  • Great video. Thank you fuzzyprobe, Ritchieeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee! RIP.

  • I remember back then, just after Ritchie died, my older sisters were watching American Bandstand. A girl appeared dressed all in black and a veil over her head. It happened to be the original Donna. She sang a song to Ritchie, something about that now she was here....etc. I just can't remember the words. I was then 11 years old. I can just barely remember this.

  • This is a 45 rpm. I'm 65, and my brother and I had a record player just lie this one. It played 45's, 33 1/3's and 78's also. We still have many of those records. The player is long ago kaputt, but we still have turntables, and break out those vinyls on occasion. What memories!

  • i dont understand these videos....but i like the music however

  • what a shame he died he was so young

  • wow... some intelligent people out here ...hmmfff

  • thats what im talking about, getting around them blocking the audio. keep doin what your doin

  • Passionate

  • very nice i get the vibe from it.

  • Ritchie~! <33

  • Awesome I like your viedos

  • the real ritchie valens

  • rithchie from la bamba did not actually die it is just actor

  • Ritchie Valens did die. Lou Diamond Phillips

who played Ritchie in the movie La Bamba is

    still alive.

  • thanks........latinos with Sotomayor always

  • i have the remasterd version of this song, (not the lobos remake) and this sound 20 times better than the one i got

  • I agree, but Los Lobos didn't do so bad I always thought

  • does that record player only play 45's?

  • No. The white disc in the center can be removed to play 78, or 33. Control for speed is towards left front.

Just in case no one answered your question.

  • LOL...I remember taping a coin onto the arm of my record player to weigh down the needle.

    Excellent post.

    Love it!!!!!

  • buena rla brother!!!!!

  • LOVEEEEEEEEEEEEE RICHIIIIIII

  • hehehehe mini record i would love to have one of those

  • your videos are awesome. where do you find your records?

  • I love that song its my favoite

  • T you just made me cry

  • What a beautiful song - my heart hurts everytime I hear this.

  • Lee2Sye2......Why????

  • he used to be the best singer in the world

  • this is better than todays music, and this song's got a story. too bad he died at the age of 17, he could have made lots and lots of those good songs!!

  • How old is that player?

  • Cool.....Love Richy

  • Superb! First time ever I heard this by Ritchie rather than Los Lobos who also were great. Ever wonder who gets the modern day profit residuals for Ritchie;'s work? I'm sure his family is gone but the brother had a little girl [at least in the movie] maybe they go to her.

  • DAMM DUDE U GOT RARE STUFF THEIR?..

keep it safe its going to be worth ALOT more then it is now

    KEEP IT IN A SAFE!

  • i love this song

  • now THIS is Ritchie Valens

  • have the same record player lol

  • wow!!!

    lot's of memories....

  • ritchie valens sings good me and my friend bill cosby are listening to it

  • wtf bill cosby

  • Bill Cosby was in the room when I recorded this.

  • no he wasn't

  • Whachoo swattin' at?!

  • what the heck does that mean

  • @fuzzprobe LMAOOO

  • Hi, I am sure this is nice memories for some people. A great song too. The point is, this record player is damaging the record, this tonearm is too heavy, and the quarter on it is digging into the record due to the weight, also this record player is turning slower then it should be for 45 speed, I can hear it. You can say good bye to your records there wearing out fast. I thought you should know.

  • But remember, these records are already in fair shape if that, and I only play them (1)one time. I bought this player at a thrift store for $5, and look at all the enjoyment it has created!

  • I understand it is important to enjoy. I was just worried about short life the collectable records would have afterwards. I guess one play may not to do much. Thanks for your reply, and your taste is super in tunes.

  • i like all of Ritchie Valens' songs im bearly starting to listen more and more too oldies and they are beautiful.

    thanx for the vid!

  • I noticed you used the old coin taped to the tone arm trick--I used to do that! I thought I was the only one...nice video, brings back lovely memories.

  • this video is beautiful. congrats!

  • that is too funny.i used coins to keep my record player arm stable too. what memories.

  • Classic

  • Oh donna, where can u be? ...Nice song.!!

  • dude this is a great great song. Rockin' record player. I do agree he could have been bigger than Elvis and it saddens me that we will never know.

  • I have loved this song since I was a kid in the 70's...

Hey, I love the coin weight on the phonograph arm...Too cute!

  • cool way to play this song sweet

  • maxi i dug you and only you. you danced with me and i will never forget it you are so cute.but the teachers shit bricks and had heart attacks.

  • Thank you for the video.

  • i love this song oh donna was a name. since in grade school. now i try to download into my mp3 player.. i love this song.

    Olivier doria

  • i love this song!!!can you be??

  • wow cool

  • I love this song!

  • I want that record!!!! Ritchie Valens was the best and his songs still are!!!

  • This brings back memories great video

  • i almost have every song of Ritchie Valens He sang a song called "Tell Laura I Love Her". =)

  • aww pretty amazing how those great singers died in the plane crash. do you think music would be different till today if they didn't die.

  • Yeh for sure Ritchie could have been bigger than Elvis. He was the real deal. Much love 2 Ritchie....

  • Bigger than Elvis..nah. Elvis had amazing looks and was very popular with the woman. Everyone wanted and still wants a piece of him. Ritchie was great but Elvis I think personally is more versitile as a singer.

  • Elvis Was Great Because He Lived Longer. Ritchie Was 17 When He Died. There's No Way Of Telling How Good Ritchie Could Have Been.

  • it sounds so differnt on the record player maybe even better ....brilliant

  • MAN... that's an AWESOME record player.. do u have any of those old Phil Spector mono singles? I'd love to hear his Wall of Sound on there.. Ronettes, Crystals, Darlene Love... any of it would be awesome man..

  • dude how old are you

  • Great song, should've been on back to the future...or was it..I forget..all well..

    I like the rp lol

  • love this song

didnt they sing this in back to the future?

  • no, I don't think they did... they played Chuck Berry's Johnny B Goode

  • no, i think you're talking about

    Chuck Berry - Earth Angel

(search only for title, because many ppl played that song)

  • R.I.P richy

  • Absolutaly love this song, well i love all of ritchies songs.Playing the old 45 makes it all the more nostalgic, love the coin on top of the needle to arradicate any jumps.

  • is this the real Ritchie Valens singing? cause i have heard Los Lobos version of his songs and they sound very the same

  • Comment removed

  • You hear that guy in the backround? He sounds out of tune.
