should be a user edited system where enough trusted users can transcribe captions for a video and when a certain amount of people confirm they are correct they then go live like on wiki. but then again with the amount of money youtube makes they should have developed a proper system!

cc is a fail. I've seen a guy use a type-speak type of software to show that the words were being pronounced properly, but the cc still got it wrong. It's a source of entertainment though. lol

i have the same problem w/ the caption as well. they can't seen to decipher what i'm saying like, "can't believe" is translated as "kinlee". it's gonna be awhile for the caption to be working right.
Haha, you're right! I cracked up when I watched my "I'm sick of this religious shit" with auto captions on. I'm like WTF! I also noticed that if the background music is loud enough the auto caption wont even try to translate. I guess that's the trick in keeping your video caption free. -Steven-

I think it's a good function, it's just something that, once you turn it off, should STAY OFF. And when you want it back on, simply turn it back on.
