  • Wow, you and your family did a wonderful job for the little time you had, fabulous to you all,,,,,,, I so want to do this for my job,,,, how inspirational thank you all so much

  • @Reimana1 awww thank you!!! and you are welcome

  • I agree for only 3 hours the cake is fantastic, i saw some bulging but its ok and you did a fabulous job

  • How did you have time to talk and film, if you were so busy????!!!

  • @GlitterPops97 I was busy with this cake. We had actually finished for the day (i think i had said that in the video lol) someone else was filming.

  • Its so cool to see you make it happen for the bride Kudos for you .....it takes a real baker to make it happen ......all these trials is whats going to make you a great sugar artist ....congratulations...Renee

  • you're a super hero! i've been making wedding cakes for 10 years now and I can never pull together that size of cake in 3 hours! great job!

  • @wigoma90 i could do with ur expertise....lol i have onli been making cakes for the past yr but my friend has asked me to make her (my first) wedding cake. im nervous and excited at the same tym but i have no idea how much batter to use....ie: how many eggs, sugar flour etc for the following pan sizes 6-8-10" any help wud be appreciated xxx

  • @pist43 it all depends on the recipe you are using. do a search for whatever recipe you want to use. Usually a 10" pan needs 4-5 cups of batter. an 8" pan will use 2-1/2 cups and a 6" pan takes about 1 1/2 cups of batter. A standard cake recipe will give you 2-8inch rounds. The recipes will tell you what size pans to use. hope that helps

  • the end result looked lovely. The imperfection gave it character I think. And it was decorated beautifully! And the flowers were pretty and made the cake look flawless! :D

  • @roses4vampires aww thank you!

  • looks great for a last minute cake. lucky the bride let you put the flowers on

  • @jody802202 it was suppose to have gumpaste flowers on it . ithink the flowers distracted from the last minute of it all hahaha

  • i love it :) if i was in your spot i would be like a chicken with me head cut off :) what kind of cake was that... do you mind sharing the recipe? oh and that buttercream looks amazing!!

  • @Alrantisia gosh id ont remember the flavor hahaha i think it was vanilla or almond ..just your basic vanilla recipe

  • Less talk, more bake!! lol

  • @mediate27 hahahahahahaa

  • Wow amazingly beautiful and done so quickly!

I would think the cake needed longer to cool, i wonder how you frosted it without it melting.

  • @CURIOUS0111 for the bottom cake we actually bought an uniced cake from the supermarket. For the other cakes we baked and stuck them righ in the freezer for about 30 minutes so they could cool down quickly.

  • wow that is a beautiful cake

  • @missymissy2266 thank you! not too bad for a last minute cake lol

  • I am also worried about stacking the square cakes. I have stacked round cake layerts, but the square seems more difficult to me. Any suggestions??

  • @angeleyes3250 Hi! Stacking the squares would be the same as stacking the rounds.

  • I think u guys done a wonderful job on that big of cake in only 3 hrs! Impressive!!

What do u use to support the upper tiers? Wooden dowels? plastic dowels? Straws? So,I seen that u use 2 boards underneath the cakes. Do u use the same size of boards under the cake? Do u have a video on how u ice a square cake? I'm doing a 4 tiered square w. cake this saturday and im not very good at doing the corners...lol I luv watching your videos!!

  • @angeleyes3250 Hi!! We use to use the plastic plates and pillars. Now we use PVC piping as well as wooden dowels. SeriousCakes has a great video on icing square cakes. I stink at it! I usually have my friend Zoe come in to help with icing the square cakes.

  • @fairytalecakes What do u use to cut the wooden dowels? I have tried using serrated knife, wire cutters, and even shears, but they dony cut smoothly. Could I use sand paper to smooth the edges?

  • @angeleyes3250 we use a pipe cutter. you can find it at hardware stores

  • very pretty after all

  • perfect for the given time restrictions. the flowers saved the imperfections and took your eyes away from the uneven and unsmooth edges and top.

  • waw!!!! that's what I call a "911 CAKE" You should be proud of yourself and your team, that's wonderful !!! This is when the talent comes out !!!!

  • @MarcelaE aww thank you!

  • That turned out well...wouldnt have complained with that

  • @hotelecks thanks!!! at least we know we can do it..dont want to again...but we can lol

  • not bad! great idea with the flowers :)

  • thanks!

  • @lparanal ithink the flowers made it better lol

  • U DID AWESOME!! 3 hours??? it's impossible... and like you said... it's not perfect.. it;s not great... but for 3 hours.. it's unbelievable! I hope people understand that you could have jut said..."NO, so sad....so bad...", but you came through for someone in a desperate situation and I commend you and your buttercream queen and everyone else that helped!!! u should have rating enabled cause this is 5 stars!!!

  • @dalissoto thank you so much!!

  • once the flowers were added, it looks great! <3

  • nice job for short notice

  • Thank you! It was not perfect by any means, but it they were happy to get a cake

  • the cake was beautiful! that was so good for short notice!

  • aw thanks! it was such a rush order, but the bride liked it..the pattern on the cake was close to what she had on her dress

  • You guys did great. I would have been in a real panic... and would have needed a weeks rest to recoup from all the stress, lol. You gave the bride what she wanted and that's the important thing!!

  • Thank you!!

  • You had my heart pumping, I was so nerveous! I loved the video!

  • Thank you!

  • i love the background music in the beginning

  • wow and it is beautiful!!

  • thank you so much!!!

  • geeezus! kudos! you are the bomb! and hilarious! the end result was fantastic! very pretty! WELL DONE!

  • Thank you! The bride said it was the best cake she ever tasted. So at least it was delish!

  • Wow...you are sooo calm. I would have thrown the camera and been in a frenzy!!

It came out very pretty and elegant.

    So so encouraging.

    ~sc

    PS: you crack me up!

  • Hi Lynne!

Thanks so much. I did osund pretty calm didn't I? hehehee

  • OMG, that had me on the edge of my seat! I was panicing for you! I thought, oh no, the buttercream doesn't have time to set and it's going to fall apart during delivery. But, oh the end picture is great! Awesome job, I like you, your so funny! :)

  • heheheeh yeah i was a little panicky but all the bride wanted was to make sure she had a cake at that point. I knew it wouldn't come out perfect, because like you said, the buttercream didn'thave time to set, the cakes didn't have time to settle, i usually refrigerate the cakes a few hours or overnite to make sure they are firm before delivery. The top tier kept wiggling on the ride over there! but it made it lol

  • LADY!! You did an awesome job!! The end picture really shows how pretty it turned out, I probably would have stabbed the cake a few times at the very least.

  • Thanks!!!! I tried!

  • WOW is all I can say!!! You are amazing! My cakes take about 1 hr to bake plus the cooling time. I don't know if I could have pulled it off as well as you did. She was one lucky bride :)

  • thank you!

  • Thanks everyone!! It didn't look too bad for 3 hours lol. She was happy, the other decorator was happy I was able to help her out and I was happy I got it done!

  • Man! For a cake whipped up in 3 hours it looks pretty good! I would have gone nuts with stress but you pulled it off girl! Proud of you! It looks delicious! :)

  • This was so entertaining--you are so funny my friend.

I can't believe you did in that little of a time. The picture in the end looks beautiful .

  • First of all thats such a funny story, getting the dates wrong of her own wedding. LOL. KUDOS to you... not only did u finish the job but you sounded so calm and poised. Sounded cool like a cucumber. Hehehe.

The cake looks awesome with the purple rose, who would believe it was built in less than 4 hrs. Grt Grt.. achievement.

  • Wow! A wedding cake in 3 hours that was amzing!!! lol

  • YOU ARE AMAZING! i think i would have been too frazzeled to get it all done, maybe not i don't want to test that skill. with such a short time you did an amazing job!! KUDOS

  • wow!!!!! that was testing your skills!!!! hahaha you did a great job!!

  • wow...I would have never pulled it off...great job

  • the cake looks realy nice! well done for doing it that quick!
