This never lasts that long on me (maybe abt 4-6 hrs)-but none of the ones in lipstick form do which I expected.. I just figured it would be like MACs longwearing L/S & it is actually better IMO compared to them. Covergirl's is actually the best IMO & lasts like 16 hrs on me - but there is a secret to application w/it, you need to blot right after application & only use their balm to touch up-it's better than others similar to it.. though I prefer lipstick form application

i think ur lips will naturally get dry after a while. but then again i lick my lips a lot. i like the infallible lipglosses a lot. they stay on a very long time. its actually annoying to get off though.

maybe put a thin layer of vasaline over it. So it doesn't feel so drying. If you put vasaline on with like a lip brush, you have more control and it will look like a clear lip gloss.
