to answer part one, the rendering of "hours" depends on how one measures hours. based upon hours after dawn, or hours after noon.

secondly, not every Gospel describes the same things. both men carried the cross, Simon for a time, and Jesus for a time. the omission of detail is just that, an omission of detail. not a contradiction proper.

thirdly friend "tree" can simply mean something made from a tree, or from wood, as the cross was.

The common people are Gods children but also is jesus. Jesus is simply the first among all the children. Hence he is the firstborn.
