  • what does this mean?

    Warning: mysql_connect() [function.mysql-connect]: Access denied for user 'a1949037'@'localhost' (using password: YES) in /home/a1949037/public_html/connect.php on line 3

  • The semi colon : was a mistake, taking it out should help

  • @alexkproductions1 use x10hosting. com its free and has mySQL

    I followed everything you said, and even quadruple checked it.

  • good work dude. =]

  • is it true you learn all this at uni and get back home and make the tutorials??

  • Ur tutorials are extremely good, u teach like a pro and ur vids r always very accurate, thnx

  • this does not deserve 5 stars, they should make a new button... 6 stars!

  • @Computerwizgeek920 A 5 star button does not even excist so it would be a new one already.

  • @thesickbeat That matters how...?

  • @thesickbeat So? thats how good it is make 5 star buttons then add a 6 star button im glad your smart enough to figure that out

  • @Computerwizgeek920 this shit aint even worth 1 star anyways

  • you totally changed my mind about creating websites.tnx

  • @maxrosecollins and more to the point you are a younger member of his audience and less educated in the world of manners - i'm 38 - an old age pensioner compared to the likes of you - maybe i have a disposition to bad language - i get told off for using bad language by everyone - friends and even on here - so just like the rest of this crazy godforsaken world i'm getting revenge by telling everyone else off! Sick of being Mr Niceguy - its got me nowhere - i cant even get my JSA which i am entitl

  • @maxrosecollins i aint going to be drawn into a tit for tat argument god knows there is enough stupid arguments in the news of late - people can't live with each other and having to resort to bombing other countries i am so sick of it all! But back to this topic - in a previous vid he said "because you are all so f*****ng stupid i am going to have to show you" - thats rude in my book!

  • How do I create a database that allows users to create accounts for my webpage?

  • u didnt told that where we have to store this folder to connect...

  • u didnt told that where we have to save this folder to connect with databse.......

  • ...I use zymic but i can't register in database

    can anybody wanna makes me better

  • ...I use zymic but i can't register in database

  • There appears to be an error in his code.

    the doublepoint in the die thinghy should be within the quotation marks.

  • There appears to be an error in his code.

    the doublepoint in the die thinghy should be within the quotation marks. liek this:

    die('Not connected ::' . mysql_error());

  • I tried the same code, But i am getting an error shown below:

    Not Connected, Can't connect to MySQL server on 'localhost' (10061)

  • good one

  • Is it better to use prepared statements to stop injections?

  • Please help me beacause it says:

    Parse error: syntax error, unexpected ':' in /home/a2292773/public_html/connectionfile.php on line 5

    I wrote everything like BUCKY .

  • YouTube somehow gives an error when i try to post the comment syntax.

  • how do you add comments in html?

  • Also # works the same way as // does.

  • I feel like I should be paying you for this

  • @frankenstein01 -- don't encourage him that'll only make him even more "bigheaded" than he is already! he may be hot on this stuff - but his previous videos he assumed everybody was an idiot! Now i have just finished uni and graduated as a software engineer - even our lecturers were not as condascending as this guy! He may be hot and know his stuff - but there is more to communication than that! This vid went up in 2008 - if he were not so condascending his views would be " > than 69,000"!

  • @MovieMad007 - Just because he assumes we are new doesn't mean he thinks we are stupid. In fact, tutorials SHOULD be done as if the viewers are new. I'm sick of tutorials that assume you know how to do something.

    TheNewBoston's tutorials are very informative, helpful, and not the least bit "condescending."

  • @Nifterific well in a previous video he said "you are all probably so stupid......da da da that you will fuck this up!!" thats rude in my book - maybe you Americans don't think so but across the pond here thats rude! i'm a software engineer and well aware of the things he shows - he's an amateur!

  • @MovieMad007 - Judging from his demeanor in 99% of the tutorials, as well as how he answers posted questions and offers to help with errors, if he said that then it was more than likely meant as a joke.

    You can't take one statement out of everything he has said and say that it makes him "condescending".

    And please don't take this as me trying to pick a fight with you, I have no desire to start a fight I was simply pointing it out. :-)

  • @frankenstein01 you can donate on his site =p

  • man can you help me with this shit error?

    Warning: mysql_connect() [function.mysql-connect]: Access denied for user 'database'@'localhost' (using password: YES) in C:\xampp\htdocs\folder\zz.php on line 3

    Not connected: Access denied for user 'database'@'localhost' (using password: YES)

    i was using the correct password(root), but this is what i get

    oh yes, this is the line 3 $dbc = mysql_connect('localhost','database','root');

  • @izzova24 i m getting the same error :S:S:S any body know how do we fix this ??

  • @lordzzcabe i solved it, try changing the password.

  • @izzova24 I know it's a bit late, but, you might want to make sure that the username database was created, and that it has permission to connect (Check the permissions). Another check is to use the xampp default of 'root' and no password.

    Not connected:Can't connect to local MySQL server through socket '/var/lib/mysql/mysql.sock' (2)

  • The correct syntax is

    die('Could not connect: ' . mysql_error());

    Just check out the time in which i figured it out!! Impressed?? :)

  • Parse error: syntax error, unexpected ':'

  • Few!! I'm actually trying to create a blog from someone elses tutorial but they don't explain things clearly enough so I came to you for the bit they kind of skipped and here it is!

  • 1:35 is sexy.... lolz!!

  • some mysql database panels are different but it has all the same things to be added

  • excellent!!!!!!! if you are the professor in my school, I am sure i wil take your class!

  • Just some further advice you may want to look at netbeans and setup a connect to your localhost server.

    The equivalent to Elcipse, both can do multiple environments for Java9 (JSE and EE, Tomcat), Ruby on rails, where you link a table for all the outputs and generate a PHP like code, its a more object orientated version.

    What you want to get into doing is avoiding SQL Injection.

  • download notepad++

  • notepad wouldn't give me the option to save it as php, only text document and all files. is that a problem? if so what can i do?

  • just name the file and type .php at the end of the file name

  • You must locate where you have saved you text documents, then right click them and click "rename". then rename the file's extension (.txt, .php, .html) to what you need, in this case .php

    If you cannot change extensions then go to "Tools", "Folder Options", "View", and then uncheck "Hide extensions for known file types" and you should now be able to do that.

  • Select "All Files" and then save the document with a .php extensions (for example, test.php). It will make it PHP format.

  • download notepad++ and watch his first video since its the most important!

  • Notepad++

  • how the hell can i add the user to the database, cuz i can't find those tables in phpmyadmin !
