I like Family Guy, but I don't really find this scene amusing, I kinda think it's quite low to parody such a beautiful and meaningful scene out of a Oscar-winning film.

You have no idea what he is saying because you never felt it..and thats ok. But dont come up with big words about something you dont understand a bit of. Dont project ur shallow understanding of the world on others.
you dont have to experience a "plastic bag" to know whos talking nonsense and trying to make something more than something as simple as a plastic bag (its called being pretentious). I'm not a shallow person at all, i live life to the fullest, and i enjoy every minute of it, but i experience it for itself, not produce highfalutin crap over nothing in order to sound deep to an equally moronic audience. Being poetic over a bag isn't creative, its lazy, to an artisticly lazy society

you can live in your dream world of over-analyzing everything to convince yourself you have a grasp of reality in a "beautiful way", but your over-praising of common physics doesnt give you a better understanding of life than me, rather the opposite. I go to school in an arts program, and i have to deal with idiots like you who claim to have an amazing view on the world by feeding their pretentious egos and declaring that they're deep by getting emotional over a plastic bag.

Ok i dont wanna argue anymore..just one comment: What is the most 'common', isnt necessarily the most trivial one. For example, one may see ants everyday and never notice it..take it for granted. But once one learns the complexity of their behavior, he will be amazed.
hahaha It does make a good point though.. post-modern society got so detached and fucked up, we have to deconstruct our minds so much to the point of first learning how to find beauty in the simplest things before we're ready to appreciate the complexities of life.
