  • Andwish I can get the material at a fabric shop

  • Wish I can get the material like the fur textile where can I get it usually?

  • very helpful tutorial, love the song choice :)

  • so fucking your dog is right, right guys?

  • Heh, that's pretty awesome, though I doubt I'll be able to do it, I don't want my first suit to be made by me, I want it done by someone with experience, XD. Speaking of which, do you do partial suit commissions?

  • Perfect and easy tutorial! I'm gonna use this to make my fur paws for a party I'm going to in a few days! :P this is really helpful

  • Thanks for making this little tutorial! A really good and easy way to do it. Worked like a charm for me and my friend :)

You have some really helpful tutorials!

  • Using an exacto knife for cutting won't damage the fur and much, cut of the inside and it will stay nice and clean :)

    Love your tutorial otherwise!

  • Thank god im taking sewing next quarter :3 even though i took it last year lol

maybe i can bring in my fur though, a modern sewing machine costs WAY too much to use it once or twice on a few fursuits o3o

  • Which way should the fur be going?

  • so i have a question, how would you do two different colored gloves?

it kinda confuses me, trying to figure it out :/

  • @silverd20 But thimbles are made of metal... Wouldn't that just attract the heat and spread the pain?

  • have you thought of using a thimble to stop your hands from burning while putting in claws?

  • Does it work the same with gloves made from synthetic rubber/vinyl?

  • awesome. how you do the nails?

  • Not to be random, but what song is playing? Its amazing.

  • *claps* great tutorial :P

  • can we do the same thing but make it a FOUR finger glove?

  • Will the 1/4 yard of faux fur be enough to make both gloves?

  • it looks great, but why on earth would you use scissors to cut the fur, a knife seems better to me because you wont cut the furry fibers, just needed to mention

but its a nice tutorial, its clear how you make paws and the end result is nice.

    compliments

  • You can hot glue claws made of sculpey clay, too.

  • why not sew fur into an already existing pair of gloves? sure its not very authentic..but..no one will know lol

  • Where can I buy faux fur?

  • @BoredChick You can go to your nearest hobby shop, you will most likely find some there.

  • i might just use a regular glove with fauxfur glued on lol

  • Thank you soo much phoenixxxxx!!! :3

  • soooo u do commisions? if so can i get a quote?

  • I wanna see fursuit making on Expert Village :D

  • Omg. You are awesome for explaining this.

I like how easy to understand your directions are.

  • well it's pretty much the same thing- just trace up to where you want it to end, and make sure you measure the thickest part of your arm to get it to go through the opening. ;3

  • wow! You hand sewed all of that! I think when I make mine I will use my sewing machine ... but i'm be sure to buy extra faberic just in case I have to do it the old fashion way. Thanks for the videos =D

  • no problem, and good luck ^_^ I hand sew pretty quickly, so usually it's not too much of a difference with all that turning lol

  • This is extremely useful. Seeing as you mention it, how much would commissioning cost? and If I could get the money would you consider making a full suit? (with the measurements sent of course) Because i am not goot at all with the stitching and the sewing. I can never get it right.

  • I honestly have never tried a full suit :3 You would have to get a LOT of measurements.

A head would cost about $300- I'm working on one right now of a coyote as an example. Heads come with semi-moving jaw, painted follow-me glass eyes, sculpey teeth, foam tongue, and all on a balaclava base :3 Or a plastic mesh base, whichever you prefer. It takes me a good 5 hours just to get the foaming done, and that's not even including the furring!

next tutorial will be how to make a head! ^_^

  • Awesome x3

Are the stiches just not visible underneath the fur? o3o

  • no, as long as you pluck the fur out the stitches aren't really visible at all. Unless you're using a VERY short pile fur- but that's why I'd suggest at least 1" pile fur :3

  • THAT WAS SO HELPFUL.

I was looking all over for a tutorial like this~ Thank you!

  • no problem :D

  • It's the song that makes me cry.

    *sniffle*

  • k i made a comment on another video of yours saying that i wanted to see a tutorial on how to make gloves,, guess i should have looked at your other videos first huh?

  • that's for both- usually fur comes in 60' width, by however long you need. You might want to measure your hands first to see how long you need the gloves to be, and then just tell them how many inches you want. That way you don't waste any of that expensive material!

  • were can you find the fur?i hope places like wal-mart

  • i wish at walmart, you have to get from specialty stores but idk which ones

  • during the fall around halloween, walmart is known to carry fake fur

  • really, the next time i go ill check

  • TY fellow white fur :3

  • Awesome Thank you

(have you tried putting on latex gloves when using the glue so your hands are ok??)

  • it melts the latex XD I use high heat glue so the claws stay in place.

  • ahh

    yeh that would

i use JB weld for most stuff

gonna need a mini nuke to break that.

  • thanks for tutorial thing is i dnt no how to make template shud i draw round hand and add and extra 2 cm to it?

    :S

    Thanks again lol xD

  • you should probably add about 1/2 inch or so, more if you're using thicker fur :3

  • ok thanks :D ill might make 2day if icba going 2 town and getitng material x3

  • i really like that song

  • ah thanks, so do I :) It's from the anime Wolf's Rain
