Heh, that's pretty awesome, though I doubt I'll be able to do it, I don't want my first suit to be made by me, I want it done by someone with experience, XD. Speaking of which, do you do partial suit commissions?
it looks great, but why on earth would you use scissors to cut the fur, a knife seems better to me because you wont cut the furry fibers, just needed to mention
but its a nice tutorial, its clear how you make paws and the end result is nice.
well it's pretty much the same thing- just trace up to where you want it to end, and make sure you measure the thickest part of your arm to get it to go through the opening. ;3
wow! You hand sewed all of that! I think when I make mine I will use my sewing machine ... but i'm be sure to buy extra faberic just in case I have to do it the old fashion way. Thanks for the videos =D
This is extremely useful. Seeing as you mention it, how much would commissioning cost? and If I could get the money would you consider making a full suit? (with the measurements sent of course) Because i am not goot at all with the stitching and the sewing. I can never get it right.
I honestly have never tried a full suit :3 You would have to get a LOT of measurements.
A head would cost about $300- I'm working on one right now of a coyote as an example. Heads come with semi-moving jaw, painted follow-me glass eyes, sculpey teeth, foam tongue, and all on a balaclava base :3 Or a plastic mesh base, whichever you prefer. It takes me a good 5 hours just to get the foaming done, and that's not even including the furring!
no, as long as you pluck the fur out the stitches aren't really visible at all. Unless you're using a VERY short pile fur- but that's why I'd suggest at least 1" pile fur :3
k i made a comment on another video of yours saying that i wanted to see a tutorial on how to make gloves,, guess i should have looked at your other videos first huh?
that's for both- usually fur comes in 60' width, by however long you need. You might want to measure your hands first to see how long you need the gloves to be, and then just tell them how many inches you want. That way you don't waste any of that expensive material!
Holly crap thats the same fur I used for my head and body wow I wonder if u live were I live did u get that fur from spotlight

Thanks for making this little tutorial! A really good and easy way to do it. Worked like a charm for me and my friend :)
You have some really helpful tutorials!

Using an exacto knife for cutting won't damage the fur and much, cut of the inside and it will stay nice and clean :)
Love your tutorial otherwise!

Thank god im taking sewing next quarter :3 even though i took it last year lol
maybe i can bring in my fur though, a modern sewing machine costs WAY too much to use it once or twice on a few fursuits o3o

@silverd20 But thimbles are made of metal... Wouldn't that just attract the heat and spread the pain?
Feathertailfan 1 year ago
have you thought of using a thimble to stop your hands from burning while putting in claws?
silverd20 1 year ago
Does it work the same with gloves made from synthetic rubber/vinyl?
