capo 1st, hammer on Am, slide to the 3rd (still in the Am pattern) then hammer and pull of on the e string 5th fret

then its hammer on Am to an F with a hammer and pull off on the G string. then the chorus is Am, G?(320010), F, C5 if that makes sense? haha im not much of a teacher but watch/listen to him and put it together

Hey guys...Alexi murdoch is crazy good. Perfectly placed notes and melody... Can anyone help me figure out the tuning and chord progression to "breathe"... Right now im playing Am, Dadd9sus4, Am, Fmaj (verse) and Am, Gmaj, Fmaj, Cmaj, (chorus) with an Emaj turn around. But it looks like he has a capo in the first fret. If anyone could help me out that would be great.

I believe your chords are correct... with the exception of the Dadd9sus4... i think that chord is an Am6sus4. That is, x04535. The suspended 4th (the D) in that chord is sort of an optional grace note... you could play it x045x5. Also, you're repeadedly pulling off the 5th fret on the 1st string... thats why I included that note in the chord notation.

As for the capo... he probably just tuned down a half step for another song or something.

You can't have a minor sus4 chord, you must mean min6/11. Minor implies the chord has a 3rd, sus replaces the third with either with 2 or 4. Sorry to get pedantic. To me it's a D7 with an open A in the bass and a ringing open E as the 9th ontop.
