  • Absolute fabulous...technics and emotio in harmony !!!!

  • Permettetemi di dire che i 24 coglionazzi che hanno messo "non mi piace" di musica non capiscono proprio niente!

  • If the who is the guy playing the 69 and singing, Peter Green only wrote the song and preformed it originally w/Fleetwood. ...still kickin' ass.

  • Wish I had this on vinyl. Absolutely fantastic.

  • Wow ! great playing and vocal. Thumbs up !!!!!!!

  • good try a bit dry

  • WEll done!

  • tres belle interpretation bravo

  • Great gig ! You rock guys :)

  • grazie??? omg grazie a voi :O wooooow. avete mai fatto un CD? se si dove si può comprare?

  • wonder....

  • it is ok. but while the guitarist is soloing, drummer should play less. way less. it is not his solo. he should keep the beat and the groove, and not shit too much. but as i said it is ok

  • fucking shit amazing!

  • good stuff, and I've been around

  • Excellent.

  • Great song!

It's hard to top Peter Green, but I actually liked it better than Santana's version. Great job :)

  • Scott. You know nothing friend. Crackin' version of the tune both vocally and instrumentally.

  • haha it's stupid to even compare them to the original. just recognize it is a good cover dont be an arse

  • how can u not hear the bass..u guys obviously have no ear for music Branko1966

  • How come we cant hear the bass player

  • i can

  • I stand corrected, I listened to it again and yes, I can distinctley hear him.

  • nice one

  • Buen chafo pero no me gusto demasiado metalero y contemporaneo

  • That was pretty damn good you guys! Very nice.

    5/5

  • excelent version !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Why do these idiots, mislead us by NOT naming their videos correctly? It is just NOT Peter Green or Santana!

Nevertheless, he is a pretty amazing guitarist though!

You know, just say, 'whoever' performing Black Magic Woman, for example. You fool!

  • feelin is wats drivin u guys keep em comin

  • wow man. very nice I was thoroughly entertained

  • really like too, what this guy pulls off WHILE he's singing. it's certainly not your run-of-the- mill rhythm guitar playing, and none of it would be possible in a trio if the rhythm section weren't so good.

  • Sad that people are so insecure. Part of being a good musician is stepping back and saying "damn, that cat can play" Green wasn't a technique junkie, he was all soul. Cheers to that and not sounding like Vai, Satriani or Cray

  • holy s**t, dude you're one of the best guitar players i've seen on youtube yet ;)

  • I agree with you, totally.

The other one that is also impressive is Jun626.

  • nearly there, probably sounds better live just because of the technical ability, but recorded it doesn't have the excitement of either version, still better than a lot of covers, keep trying.

  • hehe. are you guys off to somewhere? whats the rush?? relax, my brothers, remember, those dudes greeney and hendrix smoked and was pist drunk when they did BMW, and it was soo relaxing...so, take it easy and dont rush, please.

  • Guitarist has a nice approach, but instead of holding the "power notes" he steam rolls right over them causing a complete lack of emotional feeling. Ease up dude! It's not a race to the finish line. Simpler is better. You have the ability but not the technique.

Want to hear a great version of this tune? Check out Larry McCray on the Peter Green tribute album "Rattlesnake Guitar". Best I have heard.

  • agreed. pretty good tho, a little longer some of those bad boys and this rocks!

  • it may not sound emotional to the hearers but sure as hell feels good for the one who plays

  • I'm not hearing that at all. while the vocal follows the template, guitar-wise I'm hearing a very fine player put his own instrumental spin on a classic, even if things occasionally go slightly awry. in fact, he's so good doing his own cool thing that the biggest trouble spots for me are when he does try to reference more of a Santana vibe and slip into a bluesier vein. those moments don't seem to meld with his own more jazzy leanings.

  • ...........all'inizio sembrava un po' troppo soft, quasi scolastico...invece....COMPLIMENTI! (da rivedere quella batteria , un po' troppo rockettara...sarebbe meglio un suono e degli stacchi un po' più secchi e jazzati.pero' tutto bello, comunque.

  • No Green, no Santana - still pretty good.

  • extra extra !! ne changez rien !! enfin si jouer d autres morceaux !! bye!

  • Nice, relaxing, put my mind in a good mood, wish i was there having a few. lol

  • Complimenti!

  • The baterist and bass very good, but the vocalist-guitar is the best. Congratulations! (Eric Clayton)

  • Nice job, guys. I like that it's not a slavish cover, and how you ran with it.

  • I would also pay €3,50 and with a free drink...not more because after 30 minutes you have seen the trick...a sorry 5 minutes hahaha

  • they are good coverers

but do you notice how they choose songs with a good baseline, that adds to the greatness of playing, clever and somewhat talanted, well maybe not talanted, skillful-above average. they wont be miilionnairs, thats for sure. non-the-less, i enjoy listening to your playing, i would pay £5 to enter a pub that you play in, not more

  • pretty good guitaris... great tone too..

  • Hi, very good - these guys will be great musicians!

  • nice solo....

  • That is the lamest bassist I think I've ever seen

  • phfffff lets see what you got.

  • Comment removed

  • ??????????????!

  • Great talent!

  • Wow....Who is this guy? He rocks....

  • beautiful!

  • I think a standing ovation is in order. Great job gentlemen.

  • Excellent all round....great singing and incredible playing some nice avenues explored very cool dude.

  • Very Soulful guys, good trio and great ensemble playing on this Timeless piece, I love your very expressive guitar tone and singing, enjoyed this very much,Greetings Victor. (you put in some great own guitar-inventions on this theme)

  • pretty good job fellas. I know you mixed both... but you need way more peter green and way less santana.

Not just guitar, good drums and bass too.

  • nice one people righton ^5

  • GREAT POST

  • To John022560 -- The point is that a lot of people have been ripped off by the musical establishment and denied well-earned money or recognition for their talents. Howlin Wolf had a successful recording career, but probably nothing like Black Magic Woman, because he couldn't make it white.

  • Very nice job!! great feeling and tone, great job by everybody on that! Congrats!

  • I think this is the shit! I love early FWM, but it nice to hear a version thats not all blues/pentatonic, I like the way the changes r outlined. Usually not keen on the tele-marshall sound, sounds cool hear. Good vocals too, the guitarists a star!

  • my boobslook WAY better. goto my profile and msg me on MSN! u

  • This is real good..but did the drummer looses control..at the end the rythm wasnt correct?..overall great.

  • this is a cover

  • Fuck me you don't say

  • Man!! he's so jazzy! Not a bad singer either. But I definitely love that guitar playing, that was really good...

  • That guitarist can play!

  • That guy is very good.

  • Ragazzi che dire...fate paura!! Complimentoni!!

  • Oooohhhhh, SHIT!!! This SHIT IS GOD DAMN HOT!

  • Disappointed no Green or Santana...but notwith what I heard... Excellent

  • This guy is NOT Peter Green for all those who can't tell one style from another. He doesnt even look like Peter Green. Green was one of my heroes in the 60's & 70's. Nevertheless this guy has style and is also technically profitient. Good stuff.

  • Musta been something in the translation. They're good, but disappointing that Peter Green & Santana were nowhere to be found.

  • The BEST "black magic woman" cover I've seen and heard on YouTube !! Congratulations - you're great !!

  • What a tone !!

    Equipment?

  • Very nice! I'm impressed at all who played on the song.

  • sooo good....

  • Ahh, I just love it!

  • Its the Black Magic Woman ive been dreaming about. I love the music and the solo!

  • one of my favotites songs,

    BRAVO

  • Man, this dude can sing and play-both equally well-I'm jealous. And he's doing it on a Tele to boot!

  • this guy kicks butt. who is he?

  • I really like bass tone as well as guitar playing

  • I think that Docter Green has steered away from the emotional blues that he is known for and has opted for fast tempo rock solos with elements of latin american, I believe that he has done this simply to teach santana that if he messes with Greens shit he will get shit on.

  • Let's not lose sight of the music here. He isn't PG. He isn't CS (thank God!) He doesn't need to be.

He keeps the latin American feel, (CS needed a multipiece specialist band to do that), and mixes it with some original jazz insights, (and I'm no jazz fan). This is much better to my mind!

Listen to the way he plays on extra chords over the basic blues rock backing at 0:57, 1:15, 1:39, 2:03 and 2:51. Wish I could do that on tap! And Carlos too I bet.

I wish there was a tab of this one!!!

  • This band will sound much better if the drummer is a little less busy. Focus on the groove.

  • Does anyone realize that Fleetwood Mac stole the rhythm and style and part of the melody from a Howlin Wolf song?

  • amateurs borrow professionals steal

  • Nice to hear this song from it's original artist. Peter Green rules! Where is he now???

  • im not sure but i think hes out of a mental ward

  • I hope that means that he will be making some more music for the world to enjoy. He's got style!

  • cool tone, cool playing - all round pretty darn cool. Bands usually take a hatchet to this song.

  • Just straight up FUCK OFF.

  • Very good, excellent playing!!!

  • thankyou so much for this video a great rendition of this number peter green is god.

  • Tele + humbuckers = sexual tone...

    great cover...

  • Poddighe regna!!

  • Could those solos have been any better? I think not.

  • whats that in english!!!

  • It was 85 summar in 100 club in oxford street and we were in the bar sipping a jack danials and smoking thai stick, some one approach to us and kindly ask for a puf and he was peter green than he went on stage after long thai theraphy

  • just got to the solo and its criminal - shredding?? slow it down. leave some gaps in your playing and put some emotion in!! the guitar should speak not shout jibberish!!

  • how do you know what hes trying to say with his guitar? i thoguht it was great that he put his own stamp on this tune because hes not going to play peter green like peter green no one can so i thought it was good that he was himself rather than trying to be an impersinator the solo was great i thought

  • just got further through.....the solo is criminal.....shredding??!! peter green songs should be all about feeling and economy of notes not playing notes fast. every notes should tell something and the guitar should speak. good technically but slow the playing (the anticipation of a slightly behind the beat note leads to a great release of tension when the note is actually sounded.....leave gaps in your playing etc) down and put some feeling in!!

  • I totally agree with with you. Fuck me I've been thinking the exact same thing and you've put it into words. Excellent guitar playing but flat and totally emotionless.

  • whoever said this blows away peter green should be shot - simply ridiculous lacks the feeling peter green had..the magic. still a good cover through

  • Friggin awesome cover!!!!

  • nice chops, way to stand out on your own bro.

  • Ragazzi, buon sound e buone dita, forse troppe note ad un certo punto.

  • Impressive cover... What was your setup for this session ?

  • nice

  • Sorry, Green's a tough job to blow away; however, this is a creative & nice piece of playin'.....

  • fantastic blow away both santana and peter green

  • That's simply retarded.

  • Peter Green was, at one time, the most gifted, creative, and talented person in all of rock n roll. That his notoriety stems from having outsold BOTH the Rollings Stones and the Beatles in 1970 is a lamentable product of the age of The New Dumb. That Peter is now a vegetable means you say two things to your children when they think drugs are cool: Danny Whitten and Peter Green. One dead, one may as well be.

  • 1 of 2 Peter is not a "vegetable " at all , he's overweight, gets overwhelmed by the(deserved ) attention he gets ,probably still feels guilty about the money and switches off if anyone tells him what a wonderful player he is but he can converse with you if he wants to - mostly he doesnt ,I suspect THD

  • 2of 2 As I understand it, he was "zombie- like" some years ago cause of the medication controlling his schitzophrenia, but some time ago he decided to dispense with this treatment prefering getting his sense of humour etc back at the expense of ups and downs in mood .However you are right LSD pushed a sensitive artist over the edge and how many more great songs would he have written, and great playing he might have done if he'd avoided this drug THD

  • We both love him, that says enough. But you haven't had to hold his hand through the streets of San Francisco. And sure, I've had marvelous moments with him, like at a guitar store featuring a picture of the three guitar gods of the 60s -- Hendrix, Clapton, and Green --, he playing a belly banjo, looking up at the poster and asking: "Is that me?" But then there's the Denny's where he takes two hours to order. It's a tough gig with Peter these days.

  • I bow to your superior knowledge Phddddd! It's a sadder situation than I thought from my brief moments of conversation with him ,but I guess you are right- a lot of people love him ! just wish *he* knew it!

    THD

  • So, so well said, THD! I wish he knew it too!

Living in Vegas, I sometimes have the opportunity of riding with BB King on the plane, and we often speak of Peter's humility. Peter asked BB one time, "who would want to hear me play?" BB's answer, loud and singular: "I would!"
