well what i did was looked in the owners manual see what type of bulb replaces it, went to the car accessory store, told them what it was, and asked for just regular non coloured LEDs. So this one should be just white, but you can get w/e colour you want really. On both sides they are single LEDs, but yeah its inexpensive and it can make your car look less cheap :P the only stock cars i see with it normally are lexus'.
well last time I went though the whole MVA i think it says we are allowed to replace our license plate lights with aftermarket ones but, to be honest i dont think you should go too crazy with coloured ones.
single white leds on both sides, nice and easy to install. It looks significantly better and brighter. Video doesnt truly show how bright it is but, when i drive on the street even with street lights the leds are actually lighting up the ground below the plate since the plate is right on the bumper.

@xKensaix Thanks im from BC too and im thinking of getting some blue LED license plate bulbs... - so your not too sure about blue ones?

Get some smaller bolts, or smaller license plate bracket..that might keep the shadow from overlapping the plate.
