That tends to happen when you play a 20+ song set of fast paced rock, with only a couple of breaks between songs. And when you jump around as much as Sawao.

There's no denying the perfection of a studio take, but live performances have their own perfection too. At least, for me. I for one, love it.

This is one of the better lives ive seen, most bands even if they are pretty popular and have some good songs, all kind of fail on stage....Not the pillows though, i almost died and went to heaven when the fguitars kicked in at the begining. Sawao is a little breathier tha normal but thats to be expected right? singing while jumping around and playing the guitar can be hard.

It's on Youtube. I haven't watched all of the Anime yet. Just bits and pieces. I've read alot of the Manga, it was cancelled for a while in America for some reason...I can't remember why but I liked what I read. It's obvious the author Harold Sakuishi has learned to play guitar because he knew all the little nuances of learning to play and showed them through the main character. It's a great read, especially if you're a musician.

In last episode of anime " BECK: Mongolian Chop Squad", Taira, BECK bass guitarist, join a band and perform "Last Dinasour" and "Advice". One of the member is Yoshiaka, proving Taira join the 'real' the Pillows in the anime.
