I remember playing Castlevania 64, and the scariest moment in my childhood (I was 14) and this game was the chainsaw wielding Frankenstein. Running around that maze, hoping that he would stop chasing me and hearing the noise of his chainsaw coming closer scared me shitless. And it still does to this day when I play it, I am now 21.
