I think toronto WAS heading toward true multi-culturalism but now is going back. I dont want to see seperated communities, i want to see a chinese restaurant right beside a greek one, etc. And I think the cities' idea of starting to segregate schools for educational purposes is bullshit. They were gettin there but now are just going back in time in my opinion.
Hi!! Who ever made this video ...ur getting all ur facts wrong......3:14 " middle eastern".....thats not middle eastern....thats little India...indian community.......get it rite !!!!!
and their all INDIAN cloth .....how the hell can u get it mixed up for middle eastern.......most middle easterners r muslim,......there not muslim outfits ....there Indian outfit.......
I swear London is the most multicultural city in the world. Over 300 different languages are spoken in London with over 50 non indigenous communities which have a population of more 10,000. Across the whole of London black and asian children outnumber white british children by about three to two.
there are almost no people from the indigenous community living in toronto anymore, you rarely meet a native person, its a huge mix now of everyone from koreans, to scottish to italians to persians.. its just the way it is.
Shut up NIKKI lol, you hate all Jamaicans? dont fuckin say fuck all Jamaican cause you know you wouldnt say that TO a Jamaican, dont get internet brave, thats weak... I cant stand ppl like you. Fuckin idiot.
lol thats the stupidest thing i ever heard, wat part of toronto were u in? i dont think u were in the city, cuz i have been to calgary too and ill i see was whites and asians
this video was not representative of toronto, even if u had just an afternoon to do it, the last one culture u said "white" culture, but italians and greeks are white too?, so how is that representing "different cultures", u left out the blacks, latin americans
You guys got the right idea but in celebrating diversity but i have a bit of an isue with the white ulture part, why don't you say Canadian culture instead, and show something else besides the fucking eatons center please, how bout St.Lawernce Market, thats a good representation of real canadian culture not corporate culture.
I found Toronto to be too multicultural. If your living in the immigrant areas, the reduced standard of English makes it just a little bit harder to get things done.
very suprised at the fact only 3 cultures were used, there is also, little italy, the portuguese areas, russian/polish and the HUGE west indian culture.
good video, just felt it kinda let me hanging, would have loved to see more, so my only ctitisism is that it was too short and didnt cover enough, but other than that, pretty cool video for what it did have
the vid was ok, i laughed at the white culture part because you should have gone to oakville for that one. im a 28 year res of parkdale, now im on the westcoast and i miss toronto.
wow the racism is ridiculous white culture is yonge and dundas square you are officially the dumbest person?you claim the city is diverse then why say white culture too a place considered a public space you brainless child?
Perhaps I should've mentioned somewhere that this work was not all my own production, it was a paired effort. Also, learn to use punctuation before you call anyone brainless.
native culture is where? i was reading you only had one after noon to shoot so i cant hate. next time if you do something like this include the first nations people in it. we live & work in this city like everyone else.
Also, the downtown core is not representative of "white culture". The European-style homes were a nice way to portray the heavy European influence found in Canadian cities, but I felt that labeling skyscrapers "white" put a damper on the whole video. Also, a lot of your shots, especially of the interiors of Asian groceries stores, were boring. More people-shots would have been good.
Actually, I wasnt really trying to highlight any downtown buildings, but more the advertisements and things like that. I dunno if youve ever been to Toronto, but I just find that area to be predominantly North American. Also having people is a good idea for what I mentioned in the description, but this was collaborative, and my partner wanted lots of movement and a fast pace (this is a different cut than that submitted). So you can see why there arent too many of them
And the balck culture in toronto? Does it exist? Because I sure didn't see it on this video. Or was it that you were too scared to film it? Rofl. Come on, can't make a video to prove T dot is such a diverse city when you can't even represent all colors of people here (not I didnt say culture... that'd take way too long).
Hah I know, I mentioned in my description that we didn't manage to get to those areas (we only had one afternoon to shoot this), but if I ever make a better video of this type, you bet your ass I will be going to those wicked roti places and african head shoppe things. And as for scared, my weekend home is north of Jane and St. Clair haha. Sorry though

I agree with Taytay8989. You basically just showed us how much our city is sinking, and the guy at the beginning gave the lamest answer.
There in no peace here. Only delusion and confusion. You put the cart before the horse, to say the least.

Canada imports gangs from Jamacia to keep us entertained. The weekly shootings add a little excitment to our lives.
