I have to agree with you about NBC having the best news theme music ever, but they weren't "lucky." In 1985 they commissioned John Williams to compose a full orchestral news theme package. You make your own luck.

Nice set and smooth directing, though it does feel a little extreme in parts. 'Nightly News starts now!' is kind of like saying 'Ready, news? GO!' :P

American presenters are almost always perfect, like this guy. He carries a lot of authority in his speech.

Fanstastic. Love the superimposed graphics as he stands at the beginning, and the colour scheme of the set. Nice to see a change from the ol' 'news blue'. The only thing I would do is use a sans-seriff typefacce for the headlines and standardise the news piece titles. Excellent stuff!

Sadly, November 2 was the LAST night to use the voice of the legendary announcer Howard Reig. I can't remember the full name of the current one but Lee is his first name (same announcer of the Today Show).

Howard Reig retired in March 2005 but they still used his voice until now.

They still use Howard Reig's voice over. Yesterday was Nov 12 and they used his voice when they were in Cleveland.

Actually, December 14 was the LAST night to use Howard Reig's voice. Starting December 17, Michael Douglas became the new voice.
