He got ALS (Lou Gehrig's Disease) and is now confined to a motorized wheelchair forever. He can't even speak anymore. He communicates by moving his eyes, pointing to different places to represent letters so he can spell out words. It's gotta be the biggest tragedy in all of musical history.
