Nope. The original was done by Marvin Gaye and Tami Terrell.

They did a great job. Very, very soulful. One thing I really like is how well they pulled it off at a slower tempo.

The singer is the legendary Teddy Pendergrass, whose biggest solo hit was "Close The Door" (you'd know it if you heard it). But he was probably better known as the lead singer of Harold Melvin & The Blue Notes -- it was Teddy's voice on the original "If You Don't Know Me By Now" and "The Love I Lost," among many other of their hits. Unfortunately, two years after his appearance on Toni's show, he was in a serious car accident which left him paralyzed from the waist down - but not his voice!

I always associate this song with the movie "Stepmom" starring Julia Roberts. As far as who the man singing with Toni is....I don't have a clue, sorry!
