Its not racism. Unfortunately growing Islamisation means Malays can be arrested for showing too much skin by religious police. I didn't see any Indians but there are usually a few.
i dont think its abour racist.I think darker people like Indian dont like this type of competiton.They have lots of thing to do rather than enter this competition.But last year Miss Malaysia, Deborah Priya is so beautiful.

Just look at Tyra Banks, Selita Ebanks and other darker models. I think living in racism country doesnt stop u to achieve what u want. By da way, i too agree if Deborah is 100% indian, chances of getting to be a Miss Malaysia is less.

well, all women in malaysia are beautiful.. they're beautiful in their own way.. let's talk about their uniqueness:
malay: beautiful smile, nice tanned skin, beautiful eyes..
chinese: beautiful lips colour, nice fair skin, cute eyes..
indian: beautiful face shape, nice dark brown skin, perfect eyelashes..
they're different, but still in their own beauty.. malaysians are really beautiful.. =)
