  • Oh, one of the rare times he wasn't in jail! HAHAHA! Respect! My father told me here in Houston he was arrested the night before his show and was taken from the jail, and led on to the stage in handcuffs, they unfastened the handcuffs, he did the show, they put him back in handcuffs and took him right back to jail. hahaha

  • 5 months later, I'm still the top comment :)

  • JUST MADE IT... In 1964 "No Particular Place To Go" peaked at No. 10 thus just making the Billboard's Top 10 and it spent a total of 11 weeks in the Top 100...

Reached No. 3 on the U.K. Singles chart and No. 6 on the Canadian Pop chart...

It was Mr. Berry's first Top 10 record since "Johnny B. Goode" in April of 1958...

    """ I couldn't unfasten her safety belt """

  • 18 shitforbrains

  • @omahadave that was 3 months ago shitforbrains

  • @prussianguy doesn't matter how you got here it just matters your here

  • why is there always dislikes on videos this kind of music kicks ass.

  • hahaha love it when he looks at the camera before he starts a solo.

  • that man was a maniac lol a good singer songwriter guitar player and performer. basically the total package. watching this you realize who was the original king. I know I'm probably gonna get attacked for saying this but Berry owns Elvis. Chuck was an original, Elvis didn't write any of his stuff. just sung and shook his junk to make women scream. I gladly take Berry, Holly, Diddley, and Jerry Lee over him.

  • love Chucks music and playing but why does he put on a stupid frog accent?

  • Wonderful song, a combination of Delta and jump blues. Certainly the roots of rock.

  • he is not a god. elvis is one of the best musicians that ever lived. but, Chuck Berry is a very good musician. best rock and roll is 40's and 50's

  • @TheDaDrummer And who do you think Elvis learned from and emulated?

  • @Alikah1 Dean Martin mainly as that was his idol. You must know that Elvis was recording rock 'n' roll before Chuck Berry , in fact when he was 19 , Chuck didn't start until he was nearly 30.

  • @CountThrillhammer And yet even if I close my eyes and let my imagination run wild, I can't hear Elvis singing THAT'S AMORE!

  • @Alikah1 Try Elvis's version of Dino's I Don't Care If The Sun Don't Shine. Both versions are on youtube.

  • @CountThrillhammer Good point, friend! Elvis the PELVIS, Dean Martin with his FINE cooing VOICE, people, they were ALL GREAT! Were they NOT?! God! I wish I could've been so BLESSED AS TO MEET just one of them! Instead, I met Captain Marvel and Bill Monroe and the Blue Grass Boys! ... Go figure! LOL ... God bless!

  • @LonzaLJohnsonFarkas I dig your reference points , I'm afraid they're lost on most youtubers but I understand and concur. I find it so tedious to see the same old mistruths trotted out about Elvis , how he stole rock 'n' roll from black people. No one ever mentions how much black performers were influenced by country music , they weren't stealing, it was the only bloody music played on the radio until WDIA in Memphis came along. May I suggest the book by Barney Hoskins Say It One Time

  • @CountThrillhammer LOL Yeah, most of these people probably don't know who "Bill Monroe and the Blue Grass Boys" WERE! LOL I know that. ... Oh, get this: I also saw the "Mamas and the Poppas" while I was a patient at the Shriners in Greenville, S.C. Sadly, they were ordered OFF the stage! NOT kidding! ... God bless!

  • @CountThrillhammer

It's not that Elvis stole from black people, its that Elvis gets credit as the king of Rock N Roll in front of the real architects such as Chuck Berry, Little Richard and Carl Perkins. I agree the racial stuff is bull shit, though. Misdirected really. The ones with a real complaint are the old time blues guys, but the music publishers who ripped them off are to blame, not the other artists. All musicians are influenced by those who came before.

  • @TheDaDrummer He's a music god. Even Elvis admitted his own mother once said he (Elvis) was "pretty good, but you're no Chuck Berry".

  • @TheDaDrummer NAME one song that elvis wrote?.Chuck wrote all of his songs.elvis was a singer in serch of a voice are talent like Chuck Berry

  • love the opening in this song

  • belive it or not but a hitler parody brought me here

  • He and the guitar had a shared orgasm on that solo...

  • love this song....... chuck berry at his best

  • Rock n Roll baby haha

  • love this guys sound! what swag, more than most i'd say.

  • Love this video. He is so funny. He is the real King of Rock N Roll... Not Elvis.

  • @BtotheS10 I AGREE and GUESS WHAT! I am white! LOL Be it black or white! TRUTH is just TRUTH! ... God bless! I LOVED/LOVE this man! :D

  • Agreed! I love Chuck Beery too, even though I am WHITE and live in Alabama! Go figure! LOL

  • @BtotheS10 there can be multiple kings.....

  • @BtotheS10 not to mention the crushing amount of awesome from the likes of Little Richard. i don't have a clue why they call evil's the king of rock n roll.

  • @BtotheS10 I need to say you have right love all chuck s intros

  • @BtotheS10 Chuck Berry is awsome but He is no Elvis.Elvis is The King of Rock 'N' Roll

  • @RickyAlfred Elvis was only famous cuz he was white playing black music. He didn't sing amazingly, and he didn't write any songs. Everything was a cover. So, no, Chuck Berrry is greatly better then Elvis.

  • @RickyAlfred if there were no chuck berry ther was no elvis

  • @twihaert515 Yeah but there'd no Disco either. Can't win em' all.

  • @BtotheS10 got to disagree with you. Elvis is the king of Rock and Roll. But Kings only tread where gods have been. gods create kings imitate so you are wrong. Chuck is a god of rock.

  • @original1sun Hmmm... Ok Ok Ill give you that one. Good logic there.

  • Major Throne is coming!

  • Add a univibe and a wah wah and you got Jimi Hendrix

  • @77wimmut And turn the Amp all the way to 11.

  • Merci beaucoup, oui bonjour, oui madame, merci beaucoup :)

  • 5 ppl held a grudge for the safety belt that wouldnt budge

  • great song

  • buenaza me encanta

  • 0:36 Look at those eyes! And the automatic texting: "what's your reaction"

  • all of chuck berry's songs should have 100 million views on youtube, but what can you do?

  • John Lennon once said that another name for rock n' roll would be Chuck Berry

  • @USMC9724 I also think everybody says that lol

  • the eyes at :15 look like abed from community

  • No way! I heard it on that game to! Its been stuck in my head forever

  • i first heard this on mafia 2 :)

  • story tellin' rock n' roll.

  • allow mafia... i first heard this while watching sgt bilko :L

  • 4 People have a place to go

  • sale en mafia 2

  • there are 2 things stuck on my mind now: the old Chuck Berry and my new BlackBerry :D

  • he's so funny! :)

    great song

  • Chuck Berry is American Music

  • may be the best guitarist of his time

  • interludique rok & roll !!!

  • very sedate audience for rock and roll - dearie me!

  • Wish I could 'Ride around with no particular place to go', but with these gas prices that's almost impossible without becoming broke.

  • The resemblance between that guy and Mos Def who played him in Cadillac Records is truly staggering.

  • @Atreus21 mos def's got talent too. hes one of my favorite rappers =)

  • Nice Hitler moustache, Chuck. He's a genius, but he was kinda weird and uncomfortable to watch. He's the only guy who ever slugged Keith Richards

He also was really rude and condescending to his pick-up bands (which is all he used on the road) and many times the audience.

Watch "Hail, Hail Rock n' Roll" for a great look at the man.

  • hes i makin a french accent???

  • I'm trying my best to make this video the most clicked on youtube...

  • la lleva

  • No one dancing? I'd fuck that dance floor up!

  • X'D There are so many hints to sex in this song.....1958, dear god that man is one cool motherfucker !!!!

  • YEAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH

  • YEAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH

  • i discoverd this in sgt bilko

  • i discoverd this in sgt bilko

  • chuck isbetter han all

  • classic

  • The best thing about Chuck Berry is he is a huge dick to other famous guitarists and they don't say a word because they know he is better to this day.

  • @poop2poop2 When has he ever been a "dick"

  • You could argue that it's ironic that I heard this song when I was driving an automobile on Mafia II. :P

  • Man this guy was so awesome.

I'm embarrassed to admit this, but I always thought he was white. Up until today. I don't know why.

  • @shayanaali That's the funniest thing I've ever heard. Well done for having the balls to admit it though.

  • little was it known, chuck berry was the undisputed master of subtle segways. :D

  • those eyes r priceless

  • 4 people have no paerticular place to go

  • The beginning of everything...

  • just imagine the guy who discoverred the majic of blues to incorporate into a new style of music called ROCK N ROLL! :D

    what a discovery!

  • @LaEskoh If this song is from 1958, then the reference to the safety belt wouldn;t make sense because the cars of that era didn't have seat belts

  • @Freyja1133 Back in 58, high end cars DID have safety belts. Do a little research.

    Have a great day!

  • @mistryst My mother owned the last car not to have seat belts.! it was a 65 oldsmobile delta 88 !

  • @Freyja1133 Oh, you dear child - an Oldsmobile isn't a high end car. *laughing*

And your research is faulty - Volvo had the first seatbelt on the market back in 1849 with the first US patent being issued in 1885.

Conversation over (if you consider that gibberish below actual conversation).

    Goodbye.

  • @mistryst Seat Belt Usage: Encyclopedia of Everyday Law < This where I went for the information.. the first seat belts were designed for the volvo, but they weren't installed in cars until the 30s while they save lives ,,, trying to get people to actually use them ,is a very dificult thing to do

  • @mistryst I did a little reasearch... the first auto manufacturer to have seat belts was The Nash automotive company... and this was back in 19elts

ut sad to say that up until 1985, it was difficult to make the people use seat b50..it was a ;lap belt.... b

  • Reminds me immideatly at Sgt. Bilko ^^

  • So much sexual innuendo in this song.

  • @joshlegleiter Yeah, there is poetry in the way he talks about sexual frustration. The "safety belt" hahaha.

  • i love this song, how can you not CLASSIC

  • This is the shit !

  • @dertrommler54 Oh, really?

  • chuck high!

  • Mafia II :D

  • Rock is like an good wine the older ones are the best ;)

  • @crateyour123 but in 20 years no one is gonna be sitting listening to One Republic or what ever is rock is these days

  • its from mafia 2 :)

ps: i think he was high ;)

  • LOVE THE WAY HE SAYS PARTICULAR :D

  • 1:07

  • amazing............

  • @PantsFullofCorn No, Rock n Roll is Elvis Presley or Buddy Holly. Blues is Muddy Waters and Chuck Berry.

  • @m3talh3ad1994 Oh, yes, that's because Chuck's black, yeah, I forgot. Give me a break...

  • @sapporo1832 Actually you are somewhat right, but for the wrong reasons. Many African American singers during the 50's had this really gritty way of singing that is really popular in Blues. Chuck Berry possessed that sound that I really like. You see it in singers like Etta James, and Muddy Waters also. African American's are always usually the ones that create a new type of music. They did it with Jazz, Blues, RnB, and Rap. Most music except for classical is created from an African American.

  • not french Belgium TV show

  • When was this performance??

I am guessing in France because Chuck is speaking

a little French, but what year? Checking the just above

the knee skirts, its must be about 1962??

  • tune that fuckin guitar chuck...

  • 01:06 Awesome face! :D

  • ROCK&ROOOOOOOOOOOOOLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLL

  • Who could "dislike" Chuck Berry? He's only the freaking KING OF ROCK AND ROLL!!! He's also hilarious as well as talented. I'm glad I grew up with people like Chuck Berry and Etta James instead of the jokes they call "talented" today. This is one of my favorites by Chuck. Thanks for the video!

  • Just brilliant!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Sgt. Bilko!

  • Ich find die Musik so geil, das hat einfach was und kommt immer gut :-)

  • HAHAHA man this is good music xDD

laughed hard at the safety belt :D

  • HOME ALONE FTW

  • i would think he's like drunk or something.

but he sang it amazing. :D

  • @Blaertj yeah me too :D

  • chuck berry should be king of rock i dont understand

  • @Sabic18 He is the King to be honest. I don't care what lies the media keeps saying Elvis was just nice looking other than that he wasn't very talented

  • @liacashmere58 Awesome! People agree with what I've said for years! Thanx liacashmere. :¬)

  • if anyone thinks he's French he isn't he was born in the heart of the midwest

    St. Louis Missouri

  • 4 people deserved punched in the mouth.

  • C'mon he stole his guitar n stage presents from Chuck n he got his aggressive singing from Lil Richard DEAL WITH It!But ur right he's not the King of Rock n Roll he's the creator :)

  • @Jacobrester Chuck Berry's career goes from 1951-now n ur statement proves Elvis stole his whole style. The record Elvis put out n 1954 sounds closer 2 country music then Rock meanwhile Chuck recorded his 1st Rock record in 1955 his Album was released in 1957 round the time Jailhouse Rock was where u find Elvis sounding completely different from his 1954 release.
