actually, the SEC has incredible schools academically. the SEC travels to play anyone, but no one wants to play them. arkansas plays USC, and tenn plays notre dame. what's the point of playing out of conference, when the teams in your conference are so good. there is no home field in bowl games. each school gets equal amounts of tickets. UT is in the mountains, and it gets cold. it's cold in KY as well. the real question is, how come you're such an idiot?

I'm not saying the SEC has bad schools academically, I'm just saying that on the football side of the equation, it seems many of the recruits are below standard students as far as the grades and scores they need to get into college. As for the home field advantage: Are you telling me Florida doesn't have an advantage this year in that they barely have to travel to go to Miami, and that they are in familiar surroundings with people they know. Same with LSU anytime they play in New Orleans.

I think some people just associate a southern accent with ignorance. LSU is college football in louisiana. the gators are HATED in miami. it's like if they were to play a bowl game in tallahasee. a three hour bus ride vs. a three hour plane ride and ticket sales split 50-50. I am failing to see the advantage.
