I love the flowing effect of the outfit too, it added an almost angelic appearance to the dancer, very fitting for the song. I loved it.

That being said it can also be about rising above every day challenges and abuse to become a better person - not LITERALLY dying. There are plenty abuses that aren't physical you know. Nothing in music is set in stone. It's all open to interpretation. Anyone who doesn't realize that isn't a true fan of music, or is just trying to start a stupid argument.

Over all, I think it was very well thought out. I'm currently looking for a song to do for my solo, and this dance is giving me some great ideas.

I used to be a pointe dancer as well. Doing lyrical and jazz solos is so much better on the feet. Gosh, I already have spider veins on my legs from the years of pointe and I'm only 19. Too bad. :( 13 years of dance kills the body.

beautiful dancing.. like it was really fantastic.. great lines and your feet are good. but .. and this is only my opinion.. i didnt like the choriography.. i didnt find it very lyrical.

I used to be a pointe dancer as well. Doing lyrical and jazz solos is so much better on the feet. Gosh, I already have spider veins on my legs from the years of pointe and I'm only 19. Too bad. :( 13 years of dance kills the body.
Where is this competition? Ever heard of Applause of Nexstar. I go to those.

Whoever choreographed this didn't make u tell the story of the song otherwise ur just there dancing and that's not what contemporary is about srry but u have nice feet I'm pretty sure ur in pointe cuz I am already I'm 14

wow! u r amazing! i must say! but one thing i would to say AND PLEASE DNT GET ME WRONG it was buetiful but ur face and sum of ur moves sorta expressed luv or gratitude not as much pain or feeling torwards the meaning of the song but u r great! one of the best solos ive seen!

well if she looked sad she wouldnt look like she was enjoying herself, dancingggg. i know she was trying to look pleasant acuse idf she tried to look sad she would look retarded. i know my dance teachers always say to look pleasant if its not a "smiling" dance.

Excellent job! I would give that performance a 85. You have good technique but you need to use the stage more and I was waiting for a jump to add potential to your performance. But really good I enjoyed that! :)

ahh, i wasnt going to say anything, but im NOT smiling.. #1 this is a video of a video so the quality is terrible, #2 my lips are parted.. so you can see my teeth so i understand why you would think im smiling.. if you were there you would see that im truly not happy... but thank you for the feedback..

@dancer4lifeeee - Yep, I cry every time I listen to the song too - but just because that song is playing doesn't mean I have to act as though I'm one of those people being abused - I interpreted it my way. I have TONS of personal reasons for choosing this song, none of them having ANYTHING to do with being abused, so no, none of it was fake

@dancer4lifeeee I believe she did a fine job and i'm sure she knows all about what the songs about and i'm sure it makes her sad too but you can't be crying onstage while dancing you would mess up your face has to show emotion and no one wants someone to look depressed during their dance solo, it would ruin it.

your technique is absolutely amazing! The beginning of the dance seemed to go a little too fast, like diving into it too quickly, but by the middle it was perfect!
