  • heared about a DLC with Morrowind an Cyrodill.

    But its not sure yet.

But the fact is.. there will be a BIIIIIIG DLC like in Fallout 3..

  • bethesda should just remake morrowind. and daggerfall and arena. but most importantly morrowind

  • Morrowind is still the best. It will never lose its flavor. Skyrim has amazing graphics, but morrowind has the best music, AND the best environment sounds. Also morrowind has more content. There are THOUSANDS of quests in morrowind. Sure, Skyrim was so good, and is one of the best games ever made, but morrowind is THE BEST GAME EVER MADE!

  • Good video of a good (but not great) graphical upgrade mod for Morrowind. Btw, I gave Morrowind a 9, Oblivion a 9 (for different reasons), and I'm sure when I finally play Skyrim it will get a 9... unless they've brought back Levitation / Flying in which case I'm sure it'd get a 10! <3 The Elder Scrolls! No fighting! LOL

  • @SolJustice808 No levitation in Skyrim.

  • 4:32 ITS FUCKING ASTERIX AND OBELIX MUSIC DONT FUCK WITH ME !!!!!!!!!

  • The fact that you could fly made Moroiwind the best

  • I remember hopping of the boat the first time I played Morrowind... Best game ever, hands down. I loved it.

  • I love the Morrowing music.

  • not even comparable to skyrim

  • @Trowter You are saying Morrowind owns it right? If you are I agree with you. If you are saying skyrim is way better, you are a stupid 9 year old.

  • @zephrameliasfoster Im stupid says the guy that has to insult people and call them stupid because they have a different opinion to them ._.

  • @Trowter Are you kidding me? You don't understand how much better Morrowind is than the others.

  • @zephrameliasfoster Morrowind IS the absolute best TES - full stop!

  • @zephrameliasfoster

Actually, I agree with Trowter, you are being a child here. And that comes from a guy who likes Morrowind more than Skyrim.

  • 3:58 best moments

  • I'm... not seeing much difference. Sure, the polygons have more facets, and the textures are higher res... but it has the same lackluster lighting, stiff animation, and artificially smooth landscape.

  • Best game ever made.

  • I will lose my life playing these TES games! :DDDDD

  • Great but is the star crosshair thing optional

  • Dragons, New Combat system, and these graphics... I wouldnt be losing my life to skyrim

  • @SkyTsutaaja

And not so superficial conversations too.

  • nice job

  • 2:10 this song is also in skyrim i think :)

  • modded morrowind > oblivion

  • so colorfull for a dark place like morrowind

  • They should make Morrowind and Cyrodiil expansions for Skyrim.

  • @VergilSparda1994 The other way around. Incorporate Cyrodiil and Skyrim in Morrowind.

  • @VergilSparda1994 theyre definetly doing it for cyrodiil :)

  • @VergilSparda1994 Wrong, They should make Skyrim and Cyrodiil expansions for Morrowind.

  • once i took flight with acrobatics 1000 and my athletics 10000 using commands, my game no longer lacked fast travel, and morrowind was back up to par with oblivion and skyrim.

  • i miss aerials accension from oblivion, in skyrim.

  • song was driving my head crazy its a piece of shit11!1!!!!!!

  • @RumbaKalaFTW What do you prefer? Emo screamo? Nigga rap? Please, this is the best music possible.

  • I have this

    and I hacked it

  • the music is just soooooo awsome !!!! Its like the 2nd best version of the star wars theme!!

  • is anyone here gay and if so will they have sexwith me?

  • @RADicious u mm :D

  • Best ever!!!!!Hope my pc can Play it,cause He isnt the Best;)

  • can u buy houses?

  • @sackboy1993 lol.. u can build your own fortress (Bloodmoon) and trade post(Morrowind). Plus u can use the rooms in Mages Guild HQ in Ald Ruhn. If u still need more space u can use every cave or outpost after u cleaned it(even NPC houses, sum are abondoned) Enemy will not respawn and u are the only "active" thief on the island...

  • all morrowind really needs are eyes, EYES, because this 2d eye things are just damn creepy

  • Goodness, the nostalgia...

I'm sorry, as fun as Skyrim is - it is a good game - it'll never hold a candle toMorrowind, not for me. No other Elderscrolls game ever will.

  • when the main theme came on i would put my character in an epic pose XD

  • Hehehe you aren't Dohvakiin '-'

  • @pinto123412341234 better, he is nerevarine

  • I used to comment overused memes then i took an arrow to the knee.

  • It's beautiful :3

  • arrow, knee...

  • wow the elder scrolls took a HUGE leep wen they made skyrim

  • @CITERNESoPOURoVENIR

No, there was a game in between called oblivion. they made a huge step when they made morrowind

  • Arena, daggerfall, morrowind, oblivion, skyrim -- Five epic games.

  • I used to play Minecraft all the time, but then I took a Morrowind to the knee.

*overused meme is overused, but I still love it*

  • @AmiMecanique the game has been out for less than a full month and this shit flys god damn

  • Still the best music.

  • @Mynnia nope

  • @Mynnia ? lol this is just elder scrolls theme it's also in Skyrim

  • @aartbastiaan22 ...I'm talking about the whole OSTs, not just the *themes* used here. I talk about pace, instrumentation and all that...

  • @Mynnia meh..

  • @Mynnia I personally think Skyrim's music is the best.

  • I used to be a wizard like you once, then I took an arrow to the knee. :(

  • Now we just need a new combat syytem and I won't have to play Skyrim!

  • @BeardedHoplite hipster

  • @BeardedHoplite don't you want to explore the land of the nord?!?! :D

  • @BeardedHoplite whats wrong with skyrim

  • @papadan1987 It's about how this game is a big part of their life, and they consider it important. If you haven't played Morrowind when it came out (Like I haven't) then you can't quite understand.

  • @papadan1987 Oh, nothing at all. It's my choice for game of the year 2011 by a wide margin.

But Morrowind was my first ELder Scrolls game, I've must have sunk over 1000 hours into it over a period of, like, 4 years. Yep, Morrowind will always have a special place in my heart.

Plus you get to kill three gods. How fucking awesome is that!?

  • @BeardedHoplite i only played morrowind a litttle, i was to young back then, but im sad i dedent get to play it more back then, i know i can do it know. but im a bit skeptic with the graphics, i know it shouldent matter, but i just cant, im i the only one thinking there wasting a great opportunity with the vampires in the series. i mean there are so many cool thing they could add, like a vampire society quest, and actuely getting stronger the longer you play as a vampire,

  • @papadan1987 Graphics can easily be solved with mods, I have seen one video in which morrowind looked like Crysis! But really I can't play with the horrible animations, if they ever fix that I can finaly continue playing =)

  • @heehebjehemdaar OMg please link that!!!!

  • @Octrox Look for: "The Elder Scrolls 3: Morrowind Stunning Graphics" and then look at around 3:21 =)

  • @papadan1987 sorry to interrupt but the menu system on PC is wrong

  • @BeardedHoplite you miss loading screens?

  • @un7ucky Skyrim still has loading screens aplenty. Morrowind's had concept art though.

  • @BeardedHoplite lol not really only when fast traveling. and its a 4 second thing at most.

my main issue with skyrim is the shity menu that is made for console. but there is mods for that :D

  • @BeardedHoplite Or we need full quest lines and depth so I won't have to play Morrowind.

  • @BeardedHoplite

    Combat Enhanced.

  • a lot of this is too lore breaking for me. The only texture pack I use is to change a few of the poor shack tables and chairs.

  • @HelmutVillam If you don't mind me asking, how is this kind of texture pack lore breaking?

  • @RikiazGaming

Because I want Morrowind to look dull and grim and alien, that's how the developers intend it to look, not like a generic fantasy landscape (see: Cyrodiil). I'd use texture packs that enhance the original textures, but never overhauls.

  • Would be cool if they do a remake like halo anniversary

  • @XPhylacistaX thenexusforums(dot)com/index.php?/topic/467652-the-elder-scrolls-moon-and-star

This is a full conversion of The Elder Scrolls III: Morrowind, using Skyrim's engine and many of its assets.

  • Morrowind with leafs and green trees? Yuuk!

    Shrooms, dirt and dust FTW.

  • @OCKxx Bro, D – Dirty O – Orifice V – Violation A – Always H – Hurts K – Keep I – Injecting I – It N – Naiant
  • I must be the only one who enjoys vanilla games more then modded out versions of them.

  • great vid thanks for sharing

  • They should remake this game with better graphics and combat for Xbox 360 and PC. Not like Skyrim graphics, you have to keep the games overall look similar to keep the nostalgia but make the textures and animations and movement much better. Then you just add fast travel into the equation, a few new areas to improve map size, and you have an amazing game with less work than making another Elder Scrolls.

  • @TheOtherIan77 Thats a substantial idea and argument!

  • I love morrowinds music

  • @OCKxx ypu just made an enemy. I have already figured out your real name, and when I find you, you will hate your mother for not sending you to an orphanage so we would never have met

  • i want morrowind

  • @OCKxx Diablo was made in 1996, and its one of the best rpg's ever made. Fuck off bro

  • @OCKxx Dude, stop trolling. You're really bad at it

  • 3:57 sexy dark elf, not ugly as the original

  • Still prefer this over skyrim... Dont really know what it was about it.

  • I love this game, I have Skyrim but that game makes me sick to my stomach. If it was MY game instead of my bro's I would turn it in. I mean, "OH boy graphics yaaaaaaaaay" but it just, I had a lot of fun in Morrowind. I mean, I would get bored of doing quests and then start destroying a town and people wouldn't pull out bows out of their butts and fricking sniping me till I die. They took the fun out of Skyrim and made it kill proof. Also theres no cheats so I can't have real fun either D:<

  • @puppymew

I also love the Morrowinds theme, always have, always will. Also Morrowind just had this huge unique feel to it, that you couldn't get in any game. Skyrim just feels like a crappy copy.

  • When I die, if any of my possessions are buried with me, I want it to be this game. Or maybe not, so that my descendants can enjoy it.

  • That definitely took me down memory lane.

  • Stupid Fargoth

  • just noticed the skyrim logo in morrowind also XD

  • @aznnikeboxerpauly It's the mark of the imperial dragon, I think. Kind of the mark of The Elder Scrolls series in a way. Surprising that it was missing from Oblivion's boxart, what with how much it featured on every door ever in the Imperial city.

  • will this work for the newest directx?

  • this fixes the graphics but the animations are still extremely bad

  • I can't believe people complain about fast travel.

You don't need to use fast travel.

I don't use it on oblivion, I did a travelling route, going through all cities just with my horse. I feel the world very big.. and i has fast travel just in case of emergency or stuff.. but I don't use it, and so can you.

  • last. 6. Morrowind had this unique Attack-System. In which if lets say your skill was 15 on Axe. Then when using Axe. You would fail to attack. But if your Axe Skill was 50-60. You would get successful hits. Oblivion was shit. In Oblivion... hits always .. HIT. You didn't even need to increase your skill. It was a waste of time.

I mean in Oblivion you could be Skill 5 in Bow. And you will still get attacks. I mean .. that sucks. No fun at all.

  • time passes by. we forget about our music that we grew hearing in games. It just feels so good to hear it again after awhile. I kind of makes .. well... it does make me go back in time. I would sacrifice skyrim just to go back to this good old days. :)

  • A friend of mine allways wanted me to play Morrowind but the graphics were to bad. I am a graphic freak. If a game hasnt a graphic from 97 or after my eyes are bleeding. Please tell me how to get this graphics. I would love to play the game now. :=)

  • i played morrowind before i played oblivion. and i do believe there are better parts to morrowind compared to oblivion but i love oblivion. its my favorite game of all time. on any system. of any genre. i like sneaking up on people and shooting them in the back of the head with an arrow and watching their body crumble and roll down stairs

  • The only one thing that needs to be fixed is the motion system. Like the animations are retarded lol

  • How do you have both Goldbrand and Eltonbrand?

  • @RedZone231 Honestly I don't remember, but I can tell you that I played on 100% difficulty and the only cheat I used is Zed, the merchant (a plug-in somebody gave me because I had no internet back then), and of course the usual exploit of the game (which was updated but not with the latest update) - level up. Other than that I wasted 30 h of game play robbing 3 cities entirely and waiting for merchant to reset their money. I played the whole game fair but you can google for a walkthrough.

  • @alexmaniacRMS Goldbrand turns into Eltonbrand so you have definitely cheated to have both of them

  • @alexmaniacRMS Zed has Goldbrand and Eltonbrand for sale, prolly that's why. Besides in my opinion adding a merchant with big gold (Zed's 1milion) completely destroys early game economics. I use them aswell, why? To speed up the process of lvling.

  • wow

  • Morrowind was great because there was no fast travel. The world felt much bigger because you had to travel on foot or by boat. I vow to never use fast travel in skyrim.

  • @kevizzle10 technically Morrowind did have fast travel, its just that it cost money and could not be done anywhere like in Oblivion. Oblivion's fast travel was simply cheap.

  • @matternicuss There were boats yes, but I am 100% sure that you couldnt click on a world map icon and teleport there isntantly

  • @kevizzle10 No, you couldn't simply click on the map and instantly teleport there, but you could go to the local mage's guild and have them teleport you to another city, or take a silt strider, or take a boat for a small fee. In Daggerfall, however, you could get transportation from anywhere outside, but it cost you money. Point is, instant travel isn't new to Elder Scrolls, it's just that Oblivion made it free and unrealistic.

  • @kevizzle10 *Uses fast travel*

  • @kevizzle10 In skyrim it costs money to fast travel, so you can do it. but at your expense :)

  • @kevizzle10 so you never used the silt strider, boats or mages guild?

  • @kevizzle10 It would have been nice if they fucking didn't put fast travel in Skyrim. But once again they decided to be lazy assholes and have a magical button that skips the journey to the place. Why can't they just have teleport spells that take you to certain places like major citites? It wouldn't be any more cheap than fast travel and it would be realistic.

  • @RedNudidity

The thing is. The World, the movement of the graph in the world is much slower *when the character is walking*

That is why Morrowind was little compared to Cyrodill "Oblivion" that is why they didn't include the Fast-Travel system in Morrowind, and in Morrowind. When you reach Max Level with Acrobatics. You can almost go anywhere because the jumps are really big therefore you will be moving very fast across every section. With no need for Fast-Travel.

  • @RedNudidity

Now For Oblivion and Skyrim. These Continents are much bigger than Morrowind. But the grapch underneath the world moves faster compare to Morrowind .. which is slower. In Oblivion you move faster when running, walking being more realistic. But!. Remember the world is bigger. That is why they had to put the fast travel.

Besides. You have to also look at the Magic System,Combat,.. all sort of stuff that also affect that. you know. Like loot, encumbered.

  • @RedNudidity

Oh and i heard .. just a rumor. That their engine can't handle magic spells like that. I'm not really sure. I kind sounds like Bull shit to me.

IMO. I also think Skyrim was dumbed down. So many stuff that i wanted from Morrowind. And i will gladly list them.

    1. No fast-travel

    2. A variety of hundreds of different loot. Oblivion was dull in the loot area.

    3. Spell - ENCHANT.

    4. Levitation.

    5. Armor sets. = Paldron,Greaves,boots,curass,helm.

  • @gMemo92 Yes I agree with you fully.

  • @gMemo92 The Cuirass and greaves are combined in Skyrim

  • @TheSquirrelman124

I know. :( that's what sucks. I want it like Morrowind had it. I don't want it all together :'( thats .. not right? It won't feel the same.

  • @gMemo92 I'd love to see levitation in Skyrim but maybe it's just too game breaking. In Morrowind you could literally just levitate over ghostgate and accidentally take Keening and Sunder, then proceed on to dagoth ur. This could, realistically, be done from level 1 + if you chose to be a dunmer (fire resistance against Ur) or 5-6 onwards for other races. Maybe they took levitation out to make sure the player doesn't miss important story.

  • @FortissimoInYourFace

Well that was Morrowind. Skyrim is not going to have the same story-line Lol.

But it is not game-breaking cause the way it works is that if lets say Skyrim did have Levitation. Then Bethesda could have given us ways to use it. Sort of like looting some area from top of cave, or entering a certain door in the top of a tower that needs Levitation. Morrowind's story was good but that's where they messed up. To be honest i find that just exploration by foot is boring. IMO

  • @FortissimoInYourFace

You get me? It's like Levitation gets interesting when exploring and looting. That's the way i see it.

  • @kevizzle10 Yes there was fast travel - by Silk Strider.

  • @ClownViolenceBoogie

Not really Fast Travel. Only Traveling through the Towns and Citys. And remember. It costed around 45-60 Septims. Sometimes even 300-200 Septims. Oblivion's travel system was a mess. Cause you could travel anywhere even caves etc. That's no fun at all.

  • @gMemo92 I see what you mean.

  • @gMemo92 You couldn't travel inside actually.

  • And by teleport and Divine Intervention.

  • @kevizzle10 In the first elder scrolls games had fast travel and you choose to travel on foot or by boat/carriage which costs money and choose whether to camp or sleep in the tavern and I guess it gives effects depending on what you choose.

  • @kevizzle10 im with you man :S

  • @utenoszalias I vow to never use fast travel in skyrim.

  • @kevizzle10

me too! and i think and i heard it is conifirmed that in skyrim you need to discover the places to fast travel to it,also if you fast travels it costs money.

  • @kevizzle10 no fastravel unless you find the place first =D

  • @kevizzle10 Well, I think a major problem with FT in Oblivion was the fact that the landscape just wasn't very interesting. If FT is in Skyrim it should be out of convenience for certain things, I think.

  • @KrypticAsylum Ya maybe. I wish that they gave the option to either have fast travel or not have fast travel in skyrim before the game starts. Kind of like hardcore mode in FNV except that it locks and you cant change it back. I heard that they made it so that fast travel costs money. How much it costs is the question. If it is like 5 gold to travel then they might as well had never implemented the system in the first place. But if it is more like 500 gold to travel then it makes you think.

  • @kevizzle10 Same here my friend

  • @kevizzle10 Boats are for traveling... fast. And in skyrim only large main cities have transportation. Unlike half the map of Morrowind.

  • @kevizzle10

Maybe there was no fast travel, but I seem to recall some giant stiltrider creatures..

  • @terry455

Mark and recall spells were the shit.

  • @Morrowinda

    for sure.

  • @kevizzle10 Bethesda seem to never be able to make their minds up! Daggerfall had fast travel (extremely understandable in that case), Morrowind doesn't, and Skyrim does it again?

  • @kevizzle10

    I love wandering aimlessly. :)

  • @kevizzle10 just because it's there, you probably will :)

  • @kevizzle10 I love how in reality Morrowind still had a smaller world than Oblivion and Skyrim lol.

  • @kevizzle10 i made that same vow.. 2 days later it was too much for me and i buckled. Doesnt help that the horses are shit slow in skyrim lol

  • @kevizzle10 Stilt striders?

  • I wished Morrowind would start up with the menue for me but no, it loads some pre-existing game (???) ... and somehow refuses to work with the game disc so I had to use a no-cd-crack D: ah well, anyway ... awesome graphic improvement :) i

  • @alexmaniacRMS I was annoyed when my friend thought that Oblivion was better than Morrowind just because of the graphics. I do have to agree that most of the topography, being that of a volcanic mountain, is rather bland. However, there's plenty of good and colorful outer-country side!

  • this music^^ childhoodmemories^^

  • @Milanao Indeed man, i miss those times tough:( skyrim better be good, cuz morowind really ownz oblivion :), i wish they re-made morrowind :( the music is so damn beatiful and alot of memories ^^

  • @Milanao yessssir! :D

  • @Milanao

Checkout 4543563's 'Atmospheric Rain Music' Morrowind video.

    I'm sure you'll appreciate it.

  • @alexmaniacRMS Link it in the description before a declaration of "GOOGLE IT LAWL" is made XD!

  • I know there is a "Morrowind 2011" master mod That has 90% of what you add, but I recommend you do it the slower, bit by bit, way as: 1) You learn about modding games, and maybe make your own eventually. 2) You KNOW what mods you are using in case you want to upgraded them later. 3) And having mods saves elsewhere (you'll want to organize them) allows you to revert to a different version of grass, tress, textures ect. when your 'new look' isn't what you hoped for.

  • 5) Download many textures/meshes files from Elder scrolls nexus website. -but Save them in a special file... then install one at a time..make sure the game runs ok....(good idea to back up your files) repeat this step 100 times.

Note: everything you want to improve (grass, trees, the look of buildings, faces, clothes, weapons, ect) are texture and meshes files. Some mods do not work together so carefully read each mod to look for potential conflict with your prior installs.

  • For those that want to know how to do this here it is. 1) Buy the cheap GOTY version of Morrowind 2) Download the latest version of MGE (M. Graphics Extender) 3) get those two working together (for settings: read endless forums..)

    4) patch the game.. carefully so it works with other of your installs

  • That sunflaire is AMAZING

  • yeah they should never do multiplayer but co-op would be nice

  • Is the engine lagging, or is it the PC?
