Milo was a power gymnast but she could dance, she won a world title on each of the apparatus pieces too, she was the definiative all around gymnast. Carly Patterson could not dance, her choergraphy was horrible and she did not have much competition. Catalina Ponor and Cheng Fei didnt do AA, though both were better. Milo had Shannon, Dominique, Lilia, DIna, Svetlana, Simona, Gina, Lysenko and Gutsu etc.
I saw this tour in chicago, it was unbelievable because the audience was sitting right next to the events without a barrier. I was in the second row next to the floor. The best show I have ever seen.

Of course, Milo was around a lot longer than Carly, yet, they're talents were still identicle. Luck has nothing to do with it, if you do a great routine you get rewarded, which Carly did in Athens. Milo is a powerhouse and she really was the star at the 1992 Olympics. They're both great but comparing them will give you no result.
