  • Also he was one of two qbs in this draft (Ryan mallet was the other) who ran a pro-style offense so it won't take as much time as gabbert or newton to adapt to the pro-style offense. He is smart, athletic, and accurate. Couldn't ask for more out of a qb.

  • @towncrier123 he wasn't injury prone. He had fluid build up in his forearm and he tackled a defender who picked off his pass. Those were the only issues he had at fsu. The vikes didn't have a choice but to take him at 12 when you've got Webb and bomar as qbs on the roster. This kid will be a stud. He will have a better career than cam newton, who smells like a jamarcus Russell to me. He wouldn't've been there at 43 when Arizona, Cincinnati and san Francisco all needed qbs.

  • High intelligence, high character, athletic, great arm, accurate, played at a high level in a tough conference. Beat Florida and Miami. Bill Musgrave is probably the best coach a young QB could hope for. A bevy of experienced and dynamic WR's. But the most important weapon he has is the ability it hand off to the best RB in the game. Add in Toby Gerhart and Coach Fraziers commitment to be a run first offense, but also to incorporate Percy Harvin also makes this an interesting situation.

  • @EkoluX3 my thoughts entirely

  • Nobody knows. Every one of you who are predicting this or that are morons. Keep the post open for 3 years, then we'll talk.

  • im going to save this video and keep repeating 1:48 - 1:51 when Christian Ponder takes the vikings to the superbowl

  • @menglee im a believer in the CP7.

  • If the Vikings wanted Ponder, they could have waited until the second or third round. He would still have been available. The Vikings need linemen.

  • @Towncrier123 no actually he wouldve been gone at 15 to the dolphins for his west coast offense style of play, or 16 to the redskins who traded up thinking that he would be there. Ponder will be a solid starter, dont worry to much about him, but I agree that the vikes need linemen especially OL now to protect Ponder. How they will do that? idk but if they do. Ponder has a bright bright career ahead of him

  • @OhisaoawesomeO Ponder was average in college against mediocre ACC competition and is injury prone. The Vikings will regret this pick.

  • Well the reason they got him is because he can come in and fit right into the west coast offense and if u really think about it there wasn't really any hype at all about this guy u don't wanna get a guy who people are all hype about and becomes a bust so I like this pick I think he can do really good for us.

  • Pinneapple I agree clausen played one subpar year as a starter and everyone was all over him like he's the next great one if I was a GM he wouldn't have even been on my radar I don't see wat anyone seen in him

  • Jimmy Clausen was epic fail from the beginning...I'll never understand why people couldn't see that

  • FML

  • solid rounds to come
