hhhmmm 4230+ miles from England to Kenya so thats a 10 hour flight which work out as 420+ miles per hour? crykey i miss the concorde, well that thing did fly at mach 2.04 so yea, bring back the concorde thumbs up if people support this
For both sides of the argument, ALL electronic devices put out an electromagnetic field. Transmitters just put out an intentional field that is supposed to achieve something outside of the box it is in. If you doubt this, just put your camera/laptop/digital watch close to a compass and watch it swing. We also find it highly disrespectful when you blatantly ignore aviation safety regulations, all of which have been written in blood.
u should know that it is not aloud to have electronic devices turned on during landing as well as rising of a plane.
It could mess up the instruments. Stuardes always tell people to turn off everything and theres a good reason for it. Maybe to stay alive during flight?!?
Hate to burst you bubble but it does no harm what so ever, if you have a fear of flying please go to a course or something to either fix that or you OCD a camera will not bring down one of those aircraft and unless you know what you are talking about i would appreciate it if u did not comment
it only could mess up the instruments when the electronic device got a transmitter!!! so a normal digicam or videocamera can NOT influence the aircraft electronic!!
ummmmm ever heard that annoying buzzing noise when you leave a mobile or other transmitting device near a TV or radio? thats what hapens in the pilots headset when you have your devices turned on... god...

yea buddy, u need to get rid of that ocd, and stop bitching about his camera its not transmitting anything whatsover. its recording, ok and? i think everybody thats reading this would like u to tell us how this is dangerouse?
@LilyOfTheValley1911 when they say that, they mean, mobiles, laptops pagers ect, which work on microwave signals, THATS what messes witht he planes intruments.
@LilyOfTheValley1911 nonono, electronic devices that can communicate---> give off radio waves such as a mobile phone or radio. But a camera that cannot communicate is fine.
oh my god you are a retard. that was a beautiful landing dude. the pilot cant help the wind shear in the approach and compensated really well for it. the touchdown was smooth. planes almost always shutter after touchdown. it isn't the pilots fault you just don't know what a good landing looks like!
wat at nice landing i, luv msa , was there in 2004 ,it was great especially in nyali beach & mamba village. its nice ,will be visting masaai mara in nairobi at the end of year .
the landing gear configuration on a 767 doesnt allow you to grease a landing. It's pretty much the only aircraft with that kind of configuration.-the double bogey setting with the aft oleo raised.
It's just water dribbling down from the fusalage as the aircraft comes down from altitude, the temperature increases making condensation on the out surface
He definitely flared. You can tell by how quick the runway creeps up from the passenger view. It's very hard to grease a landing in the 767. Especially because of the mail landing gear design. There's always goin to be a bouncin effect. I've never experienced a smooth landing on a 767.
You can tell he flared by how the runway crept up just before touchdown. I thought his landing was pretty good. the runway crept up fast but at some point, you could tell his rate of descent decreased.
One of my brothers is a KA captain the other a flight engineer. To help me conquer my fear of flying as a teen they'd let me fly in the cockpit to & from MSA, usually in a DC9. Thanks for vid, brings so many wonderful memories!
Looks a smooth landing to me. I have landed there several times with a Fokker Friendship and you would not believe what the plane and pilot has to cope with during landing. The humidity is enormous and air pressure dont make the job easy, especially when the sea wind changes things between approach and landing.
Lol its an amazing place and the thing that falls down is just a water droplet from the melted ice on the outer skin of the aircraft. as the plane comes down the temp increases and melts the ice.
i envy you. i seriously do. i was born in Kansas then raised up for the most part of my life in kenya. Im currently back in KS. The day I feel that "very gentle decent, somewhat of a thud off a landing" i will be in my own version of heaven! I hope you visited the clubs.
hey again lol erm if your referin to the small round object the just sorta floats down it was condensation from the melting ice on the outer skin of the aircraft. the water just happend to dribble down over my window.
Hahahaha Jeez!I got it,that was so silly of me.I couldnt think what that was...So did you like Mombasa Kenya?I know Mombasa is a little heaven on earth.Thanks.
I believe its a 767 of Matrinair.

thanks for telling me! ☺☻

nah man! It definitely aint a KQ 737-800. 737s dont have a flaperon plus the KQ 737-800s all have winglets.
iangatheca 4 years ago
It's a Boeing 767
alabmakik 4 years ago
i think it is KQ boeing 737-800
dr1gba 4 years ago
All 737-700 and 737-800 have winglets. Definitely sure this is a 767.

not all 737-700 and 800s have winglets.
iangatheca 4 years ago
at the airline's request, yeah.
Who's dumb enough nowadays to request a B738 without winglets??
Pretty much most new 737s have em'

He didn't flare, he just landed and held it down, that explains the loud bam.
