great song so true. Pit Bulls are awesome, loving, playful, amazing, fantastic, beautiful dogs. I hate it when people stare at my dogs as if they are diseased vicious monsters, or when they cross the street and grab their kids away.

But yes i agree they can be violant at times you just gotta train them not to be mean or agressive. Get to know them they are as friendly, if not more friendly, as every other breed of dog i know!! pits forever!!!!

I came across a pic of my now 3yr old pibble (not the same dog in my avatar) when she was 8mos and had just finished her first official walk with me and her Labrador sister around a nature park. Seeing that pic reminded me of this song. We walked for about 4 hours and met many great people, but one woman yelled at me for having a 'child-killer' puppy. Funny that she's been around many children (as young as 1yr) since then and hasn't hurt any of them. She even cleans their sticky faces for them.

@packers4440 just because something starts as a bad thing doesnt mean it will be like that forever if you trim ears on a dog not used to fight its a good way to give it a positive image ive had pits with trimmed ears that were a.) weight pull champs b.) k-9 good citizen dogs so just trimming ears mean nothing
@packers4440 and yet you forget other dogs of the molosser breeds often have their ears cropped: great danes, dogos, many breds of mastiff depending on the country, bull terriers, dobermans, pit bulls: boxers. the first instance you know nothing about any kind of molosser dog is the fact it is cropped instead "trimmed". they weren't originally cropped for fighting but rather because they have big floppy ears that get caught while hunting. stop hating and educate yourself, dont be ignorant

Brilliant, love it. Have had Pitbulls for 15 years now, best breed in the world, so loyal, strong, loving, playful & honest, I would be lost without my Pit's :) Get no predujice from people who know me, friends leave their dogs in with my Pit's while we are busy, never a problem. Tho I do understand the impact of negative media on the general population, they just don't understand. Personally I do find it heartbreaking, there are worse breeds out there. Long Live Pitbulls :)

Because of the Danish bann of Pittbulls I lost my puppy I had waited for. It was killed by the vet, because it was an illegal dog when it was born :'(
I've never met a pit bull 'cos I live in Uk and they r illegal mostly so quite rare to c 1 but I don't c any reason y they should have been banned. I really want the rules to change so we can have pits again! Cos they r not any more vicious than any other dog.
I really love this song. The first scene of the video happens to me everyday when I walk down the street with my dog. People fear him until they see that he is better trained than their dogs. I love American Pit Bull Terriers and there is nothing anyone can say to me to make that stop. I have had 7 of these majestic dogs in my life. Most of which were around when I was a kid. The one I have now is the 1st one of my own and he knows about 40 tricks. These dogs are almost too smart.

Love this vid....since Ive come across it , Ive listened to it over and over. I love my 3 pitbulls....all raised to be VERY loving souls....and I laugh every time I see the wagging the tail part because my girl always is wagging her tail like that....If you love your animals they will love you back.... These poor dogs have a very bad reputation because of people (man) who have mistreated them and taught them to be anything BUT loving.
hey this is her sister and I want to say she is one hundred percent committed. She handles our neighbor's horribly-trained dog like a pro, she has great leadership qualities, and she loves dogs very much. She is doing a huge amount of research on pit bulls and other dog breeds as well. She is homeschooled and will be spending lots of time with the dog. I promise she will not get it because it is "cute" and she will make sure she is well educated and making the right choice before she decides. :D

As much trouble you have with them as much you love them. If you need it hard this is the right choice to start your experiences with dogs. But nothing against our dogs its not the dog with the bad behavior its the owner.
I am so glad somebody did a song like this, I am a proud pitbull lover and have owned pitbulls and know lots of other people who have or do own them and I can honestly say I have yet to meet a pitbull I could'nt trust with my life, and who could be trusted around small kids. I have been bitten by a dog before.. but I have never been bitten by a pitbull, not once. They are AMAZING animals and I look forward to the day when I can welcome another into my home!!

Worked with a dog behaviorist and trainer, he set out to prove it's the handler not the dog..he was unable to prove it. This guy trains dogs of law enforcement divisions and specified types of search and recovery. After one of the first pit bull maulings in the midwest where a child was killed he participated with law enforcement to prove improper training, and handling. His experiments went awry when his pitbull killed his other lead dogs (labs) without provocation .He stopped the experiments.
@4202cvinc - Funny cause according to the stats Labs lead the nation in bites. Perhaps the lab attacked the pitbull and the pitt bull was too strong. No provocation implys you speak canine.
I would also comment that this seems like a pretty poor dog trainer if he could not stop the incident...or was h not there ... but can still claim no proivation. Pretty lousy example to condemn an entire brred of dogs with.

One publication says Rotts lead the bite and kill stats, another says Pitts lead the stats.One compiled data spreadsheet shows Pitts with 1110 bites 104 deaths, Rotts were less than one quarter of this. Lab bites were less than 10% of the pitt bites.The man I refered to was a Phd animal behaviorist. His lab and Pitt were raised together from pups to carry out his aggression and training study. .
@4202cvinc The reason they lead in the stats is because pit bulls are popular with all the wrong people. Plus, many bite-involved dogs are mistakenly ID'd as pits. There are a bunch of other breeds and hundreds of mixes with NO pitbull in them that have the same general phenotype, but "Lab/Boxer mix mauls 3 people" doesn't sell newspapers.
@gouko787 The man I spoke of trained dogs to rescue and find humans, he demonstrated dogs' olfactory abilities were so finite they coud determine the differences in hand scent. The day the pitt killed its companion lab, and it was not observed, they were put out into the exercise yard and when the trainer returned the lab was no longer recognizable as a dog. Although training, care etc do make the dog, this breed and Rotts go beyond that point where breed may be the factor.

Because of the Danish bann of Pittbulls I lost my puppy I had waited for. It was killed by the vet, because it was an illegal dog when it was born :'(

I've never met a pit bull 'cos I live in Uk and they r illegal mostly so quite rare to c 1 but I don't c any reason y they should have been banned. I really want the rules to change so we can have pits again! Cos they r not any more vicious than any other dog.

I really love this song. The first scene of the video happens to me everyday when I walk down the street with my dog. People fear him until they see that he is better trained than their dogs. I love American Pit Bull Terriers and there is nothing anyone can say to me to make that stop. I have had 7 of these majestic dogs in my life. Most of which were around when I was a kid. The one I have now is the 1st one of my own and he knows about 40 tricks. These dogs are almost too smart.

This sidewalk clearing phenom happens to me even though my dog is tied to my father's wheelchair. Really?? Some people do stop to pet her..and they are always pleasantly surprised at how nice she is.

@yorkielovr1 I'm sorry about your cousin, but you can't judge a whole breed by just one dog. That's completely unfair. I've been attacked my a JRT, but that doesn't mean I hate them all. This particular dog was horribly trained, badly exercised and teased constantly. Dogs don't just attack for "No reason" there had to be something that triggered it off, no matter what you think. How big was this "Pit Bull"? If it was over 70 lbs than it is badly bred, unhealthy or not a legitimate APBT

Love this vid....since Ive come across it , Ive listened to it over and over. I love my 3 pitbulls....all raised to be VERY loving souls....and I laugh every time I see the wagging the tail part because my girl always is wagging her tail like that....If you love your animals they will love you back.... These poor dogs have a very bad reputation because of people (man) who have mistreated them and taught them to be anything BUT loving.

hey this is her sister and I want to say she is one hundred percent committed. She handles our neighbor's horribly-trained dog like a pro, she has great leadership qualities, and she loves dogs very much. She is doing a huge amount of research on pit bulls and other dog breeds as well. She is homeschooled and will be spending lots of time with the dog. I promise she will not get it because it is "cute" and she will make sure she is well educated and making the right choice before she decides. :D

To Chocofrap Lol I thought It would be a great Idea to have a pit as first puppy three couches and lot of scratches and blue marks later I would say I have had some better ideas in my life:-) but it like trouble with kids. As much trouble you have with them as much you love them. If you need it hard this is the right choice to start your experiences with dogs. But nothing against our dogs its not the dog with the bad behavior its the owner.

I am so glad somebody did a song like this, I am a proud pitbull lover and have owned pitbulls and know lots of other people who have or do own them and I can honestly say I have yet to meet a pitbull I could'nt trust with my life, and who could be trusted around small kids. I have been bitten by a dog before.. but I have never been bitten by a pitbull, not once. They are AMAZING animals and I look forward to the day when I can welcome another into my home!!

I went from smile to giggle to laugh all the way through this tune! ...QUALITY stuff here! I love me some Pit Bulls. The truth in these lyrics is overwhelming! I've shown them and spent enough quality, get down in their face, snuggling time to know how great they really are. Their insanely incorrect reputation disappoints me to my core. They are such a sweet, beautiful, people loving breed! Some of them might not like other dogs, but the same can be said for nearly ANY breed. :-(

Worked with a dog behaviorist and trainer, he set out to prove it's the handler not the dog..he was unable to prove it. This guy trains dogs of law enforcement divisions and specified types of search and recovery. After one of the first pit bull maulings in the midwest where a child was killed he participated with law enforcement to prove improper training, and handling. His experiments went awry when his pitbull killed his other lead dogs (labs) without provocation .He stopped the experiments.

@4202cvinc - Funny cause according to the stats Labs lead the nation in bites. Perhaps the lab attacked the pitbull and the pitt bull was too strong. No provocation implys you speak canine.
I would also comment that this seems like a pretty poor dog trainer if he could not stop the incident...or was h not there ... but can still claim no proivation. Pretty lousy example to condemn an entire brred of dogs with.

One publication says Rotts lead the bite and kill stats, another says Pitts lead the stats.One compiled data spreadsheet shows Pitts with 1110 bites 104 deaths, Rotts were less than one quarter of this. Lab bites were less than 10% of the pitt bites.The man I refered to was a Phd animal behaviorist. His lab and Pitt were raised together from pups to carry out his aggression and training study. .

@4202cvinc The reason they lead in the stats is because pit bulls are popular with all the wrong people. Plus, many bite-involved dogs are mistakenly ID'd as pits. There are a bunch of other breeds and hundreds of mixes with NO pitbull in them that have the same general phenotype, but "Lab/Boxer mix mauls 3 people" doesn't sell newspapers.

@gouko787 The man I spoke of trained dogs to rescue and find humans, he demonstrated dogs' olfactory abilities were so finite they coud determine the differences in hand scent. The day the pitt killed its companion lab, and it was not observed, they were put out into the exercise yard and when the trainer returned the lab was no longer recognizable as a dog. Although training, care etc do make the dog, this breed and Rotts go beyond that point where breed may be the factor.
