  • Mmm dodge actually isn't an American company.. their cummins engine comes from Volvo

  • no american company like ford, dodge or chevy would ever own a rice burner like toyota.

  • Actually the Ford Cammer had 800 hp, and the Chrysler which was 1 CI less had around 700 hp, he Cammer was downgrated to low 700hp's from regulations and eventually 600's.

  • Second, the Dodge Daytona held a 243mph speed record in race tune back then. Ford was spying so they used a small carb the first day, limiting it to 200, the next day they put a bigger pot on it and broke 240mph. Second, I'll post a clip of the pull, but it's only like 3 seconds long

  • @SecularTechnology your mistaken on the NASCAR facts, Hemis dominated NASCAR in 69, taking the top 5 places. The 429 was not a Hemi and only the DOHC proto-version was banned from NASCAR

  • If you'd read the parts list for my Charger, It states "bored and stroked '71 440 block". Second off, Hemis were banned from NASCAR, dodge were handicapped out of dragracing, and that V6 Beater was towing another blown up F250 this weekend. That makes "0" running fords on our farm, and the only thing not running is the Charger., cuz it is bieng stripped, painted, overhauled, and rebuilt. I also have corn to put in the ground, and two fords I'm trying to get running again. Go home.

  • @the934x4

Never kepped track of nascar. The parts list didn't say bored and stroked., but I was just stating it would have to be. Richard Petty Motorsports actually dropped Dodge and went with Ford in 1969, and won. Fords Hemi (Hemispherical cumbustion chambers) was the first one too be banned with the 427 FE 427 because it created too much power. I only saw a damn chain attached, to that Dakota, and two Fords sitting there.

On our farm in Eastern Oregon we use 2 Dodge 2 Ford 3 GMC's

  • @SecularTechnology Mopar's 426 Hemi was banned by NASCAR in '65, which led Petty to go drag racing for a season. Fod brought their cammer to NASCAR, which was a decent engine -as long as that six (or seven?) foot timing chain didn't break. Mopar then began r&d on a cammer 426 of their own -the A925 DOHC engine, which would have produced far more power than Ford's cammer. NASCAR banned all cammer engines, and in the early 70s the Hemi and Ford engines were handicapped w/restrictor plates.

  • @SecularTechnology It's my understanding that the cammer 427 produced 616 horsepower. That's a Ford figure. Bill France Sr. banned all cammer engines because he believed that the fans wouldn't be able to identify with comparatively exotic engines. Considering tire/car/track technology of the time, it was a wise choice.

The cammer engines were, however, brilliant performers.

  • @cincyblows

That's strange beause it was tested at 800 horses, but was downgraded to 700 when it entered racing I was a youngin at that time but I still remember. Where did you get this Ford figure? I think think the equivalent Chrysler also produced 800 Hp.

  • @SecularTechnology Hmm. Something is weird here. The 426 dohc never ran uinder its own power, but was estimated to produce over 700 hp. That was the street version. (Gotta get the ice cream home before it melts.) Ford says the cammer made 616 hp. I remember that distinctly. That should be easy to google. I'm going by old car magazines quoting Ford engineers. A shame that the cammer 427 kept breaking timing chains and the 426 dohc never got past initial r&d (kept breaking tappet carriers).

  • @SecularTechnology Calm down, buddy. You wanna race?, come to belltown, Pa asswipe

  • 3 guys have a dragster ...

  • @motorfordtoyota your just a faggot liberal that don't no what an american ride is. That ram would knock your stupid toyota piece of shit out just at a startin line.... SO FUCK OFF!!!!!!!

  • *one* I'd take any Fucked On Race Day pos Ford or Jap crap Toyota any day with my 408 Dakota or my 69 Dodge Charger 528 Six Pack. any

  • @Motorfordtoyota Figures a guy with the worse domestic manufacturer's name and an imports name would dis a Hemi. Jealousy is all that is. You WISH you could drive a Dodge but can't afford one, either that or you ain't got the balls to drive

  • I have seen more transmission and rear end problems from a dodge then anything. hmmm maybe they should back them bad ass motors with a ford drive train hmmm

  • @godsmack8807 Or else that Toyota By Ford can be recalled yet again.

  • @cincyblows Toyota is not made by Ford Toyota is made by Toyota.

  • @godsmack8807 And yet the two pickups are identical (or were). What a coincidence.

  • lmaoo i love that guy :P

  • Im not much of a dodge fan, but i think the old hemi's are the real hemi's.

  • Much rather have a Tundra, much better trucks they are. Not a problem yet with our Sequoia (tundra suv) but our neighbor's ram is always in the shop!

  • Sorry but Durangos are bare bones dogshit.

  • Whats funny is those people with the stickers "I'd rather push a ford than drive a dodge". Well good, because your gonna HAVE TO PUSH A FORD. LOL

  • Jon Reep's still funny as hell. LOL!!

  • The new "Hemi's" arent "Hemi's" at all, the original Hemi was named for its hemispherical combustion chamber, the new ones are polyspherical. I guess the slogan, "that thing got a poly?" doesn't sound so cool.

  • He got somethin' you don't got and that is NO brain..........The REDNECK FOOL... LOL

  • this is awesome and halariuos!

  • i love dodges. well i love the hemi more under the hood

  • thats my father in law driving the dragster - you don't see his face really. the late pat foster nhra hall of fame driver

  • I'm looking for another commercial with these guys. It had two or three new dodge trucks ramping on a hill. Then these guys ramp the hill in a duster. Anyone else seen this or have a link?

  • Mopar or no car baby!

  • just some info

the dragster is the Jade grenade F.E.D and the driver during the burn out is Pat Foster

  • i would rather push a dodge then drive a toyota

  • amen brother!..although i've never had too push my dodge!

  • Neither have I! I love all my Dodges:)

  • My dad's '77 Dodge Power Wagon has 450,000+ miles on it. It's outlasted two Cadillacs, a Porsche 914, a C4 Corvette and a '99 Durango (which was only a pain because some idiot let it go too long without oil).

  • @JETZcorp Was the idiot you or your dad?

  • It was the idiot who bought it from the dealership. Probably one of those non-car-person types who takes their car to Jiffy Lube every so-often and doesn't bother to actually think about what's going on. For whatever reason, we think it just got ran without enough oil and that caused the problems that we encountered when we bought it used. My dad's '98 Ram had (and still has) the exact same 360 Magnum V8 and it didn't have any of the problems we had with the Durango.

  • @1997F350 oh trust me..youll be doing plenty of pushing with a dodge LOL

  • lol
