To the author: Great work on this video. The animation and lip syncing is spot on. One question though: Why did you decide to make this? Was it for a school project or were you just really bored? It seems like a lot of work to put into something that you can't really do much with (since it's a remake of copyrighted material) other than to show your skill as an animator.

Thanks. This wasn't done for the heck of it. Tootsie hired us. This was an actual commercial that aired in the US, Mexico and Korea. Why Korea? I have no idea.

I think there is something very unique-looking about the original Tootsie Pop commercial. This update is rather disappointing. The addition of staging elements (even though the original commercial has almost none) makes the commercial look cheap and generic. I'll give credit for keeping the turtle and owl (basically) on-model, but the boy's brown hair and non-beady eyes really wreck the commercial.
