Kellyn1dl your full of shit, watch the rest of these mens videos, they rarley kill a fish, and it not the fishermen thats destroying it its the lads nettin the rivers and takin fish in there hundreds and the men nettin them at sea. I wouldnt mind a days fishing with these boys, they know the craic and fish some nice pools, fair play, well done boys!!

kellyn1dI you dont know what your talking about its not the rod anglers killing their fish that is causing the problems its the people at sea netting them in their thousands thats causing the problems.

sea netting is essentially stopped. scientific evidence suggests that most rivers in ireland are simply in such bad shape due to changes in drainage, gravel extraction etc. they cannot support much larger salmon returns than they achieved before netting was ended. point on video is salmon would not have been damaged if it had not been caught. if angling was banned for 5 years it would prevent illegal selling of poached fish.. and focus attention on restoring habitat. dont you agree???????

no problem! the videos are good. looks like a nice spot. i do in all honesty get annoyed when i see anglers killing salmon given the state of stocks. the point of ending commercial exloitation wasnt so that anglers could fill their chest freezers. as your aware, some anglers are already abusing their right to retain fish. im for 100% catch and release until the stock is stable. its the only thing thats enforceable.
