@5thegranary No that's only the speedometer, she can drive 145 miles 225-230 in this version (smallest motor) some with stronger engines make about 165 miles 260 (stock)
The Problem with 1982 was the lousy Crossfire Injection. What was Chevy Thinking?????? A nice 1980, 4 speed L48 is the way in my opinion to go. No computer stuff so you can pill the Catalytic off and really get some fun!
Looks a very nice car. I'm a Brit living in CA and would love to buy a Corvette. Does that speedo really show 85 - is that its top speed? My old Healey 3000 would beat that. I'd still like this Corvette.
Nope, the U.S. government mandated that no speedometer may show more than 85 mph starting in 1980, regardless of top speed. I guess the idea was that people wouldn't want to speed as much and would save more gas if they were tricked into thinking that the cars topped out at 85 mph. This dumb trick lasted through the late 1980s I believe. Actual top speed should be around 125 mph.
ha 4995.... the only vette youll get for that is one that barely runs and no electronics work, and if you point out a very good condition vette for that price tell the seller he needs a CAT scan

Correct slotted aluminum wheels have just been installed, along with new carpet. Price lowered to $12,900.

Keep in mind this was posted nearly a year ago, when these cars were worth considerably more. That being said, now is the time to buy C3s!

$15,900? You're kidding right? I'd consider 4995.
