Calling Urlacher overrated is hilarious. He can take a game over himself, he changes the entire defensive scheme depending on how the offense looks, and is probably one of the fastest and best coverage LBs ever.

@Blackwater1: Agree Url is good to go he just happen to get hit by Jerome Bettis which is the same result of a lot of LBs against Bettis. Just like today LBs can't hit Brandon Jacobs head up he is just a Brusing RB.

@Blackwater1 That is unless he dislocates his wrist, then he's out for a season. What has he done in the last 5 years? He's had average tackle numbers for a MLB 11 INT (not bad), and 13.5 sacks (terrible). As mentioned above he missed an entire season on a dislocated wrist. He had surgery but other players would wrap the whole hand and play. He's a product of the defensive scheme. An '06 Sports Illustrated poll of 361 NFL players named him the 2nd most overrated player in the league, behind TO.

If you ever want to see why Jerome was all that, watch this. If you ever want to see why the Urlacher-led Bears' D ISN'T all that - what this. No great LB of all-time (Butkus, Nitchskie, Lambert/Hamm, LTaylor, Ray Lewis, etc) EVER got run over by ANYONE!

The only reason Urlacher missed that tackle isn't because he lost his footing or the bus was running full speed at him its that hes freaking overrated. A poll that was taking buy former and current nfl players ranked him number one most overrated player in the nfl. Look it up. He sucks.

This was one of my all time favorite games at Heinz Field -- at one point b/c the snow we couldn't even see Cowher across the field from us. Urlacher is over rated & he was so whiffed here at the end of the game, Bettis just wore them all down. I sit right behind the opposing bench & had to ask if that hurt Brian? Bettis was running over guys and carrying them to the goal -- and people wanted him to retire years before this! This game change their Super Bowl season & made it their destiny!
