@ge0f0rc3 its online ONLY. with 30 or so people able to use town at once for grouping and everything else is instanced to you or your group. Not sure about pvp, random arena, or cutthroat just yet (these are other modes of play like hardcore and such).

As someone really looking forward to this game, you guys need to upload better clips. A lot of the time its a character with what looks like three unique abilites, but they spam one over and over and over again. I would like to see classes videos that show off a full range. It would be better marketing...

@FISHcakes420 I have a feeling that what you would consider "creative" I, and many others following this game, would consider too foreign. I absolutely adore Diablo2 and played it off and on for nearly 10 years--I enjoy playing other kinds games, of course, but the gameplay of Diablo2 will always hold a special place in my heart.  I think the developers of this game have similar feelings and are therefor trying to directly extend the enjoyment that Diablo2 provided.

@FISHcakes420 I do understand what you're saying, honestly I do, but frankly if this game was any less like Diablo2 I wouldn't be interested in it. Really, they seem to have struck an excellent balance of new and old, in my opinion.

On a side note, I love what I've seen of the Witch, so far: she looks like a mix of a necromancer and sorceress which makes her interesting/unique, but shes not so unique as to break away from Diablo2's design of intentionally archetypal classes.

What are your thoughts on the level cap, so far? Most developers seem pretty opposed to the all mighty 99 concept that Diablo2 used, but for me any many people I know, it really gave the game a unique and irresistible appeal. I understand that many (okay, most) players will never reach 99 or even consider it possible, but that exclusiveness was the magic that made it so appealing; besides, what harm does it cause as long as everything is balanced around 85-90ish?

Personally, I didn't care for that D2 grind to 99. I was pretty much finished with everything post 70s. I'm all for a bit of a challenge and the rewards that come with it during the leveling process, but I'm primarily a PvPer and I'd prefer not to be stuck grinding levels when I could be competing. Now if there's upgrades that go along with these levels then I'm all for it because these types of games are heavily itemized and based around a bartering economy.

But ya, the cap is 100 here.

@EternalSage07 I completely understand what you're saying and I think the vast majority of people agree with you, but I think you missed the best part: If the leveling system is balanced properly (as it was in Diablo2) those who prefer not to level superfluously can stop around 85-90 with a high enough level to wear any gear (short of crafting) and enough skill and stat points to max (almost) any build, while those who enjoy the grind and illustrious look of high levels can continue on.

It looks like you have the speed of gameplay, monster to player ratio, and general aesthetic down pretty well. I see unique monsters here, and in another video I saw randomly generated items, nice voice acting, interesting, yet not convoluted character classes, and FREE ONLINE.

For those of you who say "Diablo 2 rip off" in a negative way are stupid. The way i look at it is, i loved the Diablo series while it lasted. I crave for more dungeon crawling games. So of course company's and game designers are going to use Diablo as the back bone of any ARPGs they think up. Why? Because it works! It takes balls to use Diablo as your breed and butter and then try to live up to the expectations.

The weapon seems to have a good feel and from the looks of it the controls are quite tight. My only minor problem is the size of the potions in the bottom left of the UI, I'd personally like them to be a tad shorter.

@grindinggear ye i agree with "harperadam"...its not the style that bothers me, just that the health and mana globe are scaled at either edges of the screen which could pose a problem with larger monitors. I.e a bigger screen will make it increasingly difficult to keep track of both stats since theyl become further and further apart (ur vision will remain centred while batling)

@grindinggear Yes, I noticed the toughness as well, IMO a good thing as unlike Diablo 2 you would have been dead within seconds. At least here you actually 'engage' in combat, not wipe or be wiped.
