  • its funny how the govt, or ppl censor little kids trying to prove a point

  • wtf no sound!!!

  • ♺ Recycle and trees will be saved.

  • it was greta now everyone check out ikorri i juz watched it it was alsome

  • ahahahah this is great

  • i love this!!!

  • Recycling = $ saved- that could go to commmunity improvments, like a new school or community gardening, or park equipment. If people would work together they could help their town be more attractive and keep taxes to a minimum++! ;-)

  • You have no idea what you are talking about. Recycling costs tax payers billions of dollars each year. If you want gardens and park equipment stop wasting money on recycling.

  • yes!!! everyone neeeds to recycle. come on, we only have one woeld. let's actually keep it alive longer than us

  • Now we have 4 sets off lorries picking up brown green and black bins all week instead of one, more carbon into the air and more council jobs that our taxes and council tax pays. My poll tax should cover the council seperating the rubbish themselves.

  • Plastic comes from oil everyone knows tht i think?

  • plastic comes from oil.

  • how about you seperate the stuff I throw away. And i don't care what you do with it. Just stop charging me.

  • um..........recycle?

  • we should start recycling now!!!!to save the earth!!!

  • Congratulations to all this children and the adults who guide them to be caretakers of our planet.

To these kids I say "I am sorry" for all of us adults who are leaving your a polluted planet.

The Michigan Earth Keeper Initiative salutes your efforts !!

  • Recycling is a scam. It all ends up as landfill.

  • Recycling is not a scam - it is a must to protect our planet.

Recycling may not always be profitable but the bigger picture dictates were need to recycle.

Have you heard of the North Pacific Gyre where billions of tons of plastics are trapped in a current and are spread across hundreds of miles.

Those who don't recycle are just too lazy.

The Michigan Earth Keepers urge everyone to recycle!!

  • Take plastic bottles, for instance, plastics never decompose, eventualy they turn into fine dust and carry toxic chemicals.

much of what we recycle gets shipped off where it is burned as fuel or simply dumped in a landfill.

  • The recycled plastics get used to make new bottles.

    Some is better than none.

Maybe your community is not doing it correctly.

I believe we should do everything we can to reuse everything.

If we give up - one day (maybe already) the problem will be too big to fix.

Even proper disposal is better than the plastics floating around the oceans - being ground into particles - eaten by marine life.

  • but i think some of the stuff that's being burned is part of what's depleting (sp?) the Ozone layer. But, yeah. At least animals and stuff aren't dying because of litter. =)

  • Maybe - but the new EPA approve incinerators take out 99 percent of the bad stuff.

During our last Earth Day Clean sweep over one ton of pharmaceuticals were turned in by Michigan residents.

I aksed the EPA aren't we trading having the drugs in the water and putting them in the air instead.

They stated that is not true - that these incinerators have scrubbers and lots of technical stuff that removes all the bad - destroys most of it.

  • oh... uhm.... i feel kind of stupid. :(

  • You are not stupid - don't feel that way.

The pharmaceutical clean sweep was designed so people did not flush old meds down toilet where they end up in drinking water because wastewater treatment plants are not designed to remove those pharma chemicals from water.

But I feared that the meds would end up in the air if burned - did not know real answer till I asked.

i was surprized that these incinerators are so effective because common sense would say it's bad idea.

    New technology etc.

  • ...theenn, how am I buying cereal in recycled boxes and garbage bags that are 100 per cent recycled material??

  • how do you KNOW they are 100% recycled material?

  • i recycle

  • I'd believe kids were interested in green issues if they didn't demand a replacement for their perfectly good games console twice a year, maybe wore their trainers a few months longer

  • Nice! I am thinking about embedding this video into my school's green team website :) or at least editing on of the commercials out so it is shorter!

  • these kids crack me up. it's great to see bright young kids get exicted about world issues and use their imaginations to do somthing about it.

  • Awesome job! It was funny, creative and infromative. I especially like the part of the grumpy, uninformed dad. Don't we all know someone like that? Keep up the good work.

  • Really, really cool. The kids are great. Well done Park School!!

  • the typing is not clear though.

  • Exactly.

  • this is really cool. it's a good idea to recycle. it does make a difference and it doesn't take that much effort!!! :)

  • you are recycling!!!!!

  • Hi everyone. I wanna make a difference in this world and the environment and I wanna build a recycling plant. If you can, I would very much appreciate any help I could get.

Go to the ebay site and search for

"Fund Raising - Building a Recycling Plant"

    Thank you

  • Impressive work! I enjoyed it.

  • Bravo! What a great activity for your students. It looks like all had a super time and I'm sure they'll never forget the lessons learned from doing this. I also enjoyed the out-takes at the end.

  • request denied-recycling is stupid idea

  • I thought the commercials were outstanding. A real achievement that the superstars at Park School should all be proud of. Great message and tight presentation. Outtakes were excellent.
