@Netherwolf6100 I think Master Hand and Crazy Hand from Smash Bros. Melee, (ESPECIALLY EVENT 51...ugh..) and Fire Leo from Viewtiful Joe take the cake on cheap. Let's not forget Oroku Saki from Ninja Turtles game either.
@KoopaNinj Well for me, Master/Crazy Hand wasn't too bad since you had the "dodge" ability. Fire Leo was tough, I died on him a few times but I did manage to beat him but Galactus, never before have I fought a character that literally and honestly, spammed his One Move Kill, 5 times in a row taking out all my characters even when I was blocking and using X-Factor and this was on normal. On hard mode I can't even touch him, let along beat him.
@KoopaNinj Yeah.... I wish UMvsC3 had an offline mode kinda like survive where you keep fighting until you loss gaining back you're health after each round either that or I wish the Arcade mode was longer than 6 simple fights before you fight an overkill boss. You hardly get enough time to really enjoy the fighting. I kinda feel there was a lot the developers overlooked when making this game and it could have been a whole lot better, not just characters but gameplay as well
@Netherwolf6100 That would've been cool, make it an all-star mode. But really this game was focused heavily on the online part, not much competition against the computer, doing the same thing basically. I actually play more characters in this game than I did in MvC2, very good rosters on both sides, minus a few of capcoms.

Aside from missing Captain Commando (he was my number 1 pick) I like the new roster and its very evenly balanced but still, I kinda dislike how its heavily based for online play since half the time I'm playing this game, I'm in a spot where I don't have internet connection.

@LoquenderoPrincipe They put more than 3 X Men in, so why not the Fan 4? My main problem is that 4 of their villains/characters are in the game (I mentioned Doom and Skrull, Silver Surfer makes a cameo, and Galactus originated in their comics) and direct reference to them is made, but they're still not in the game. It makes no sense, just like how they included Zero but not Megaman.

@SuperMvC3 Dormammu has personally bested Phoenix Force Avatars even with his reduced powers in the Earth Dimension. Galactus could permanently destroy Dark Phoenix but he won't because 1) he is not giving a fuck about it 2) because that would hamper the future of the universe in which he himself plays an important part 3) because like most cosmic abstract beings they are all connected and killing each other would mean ultimately dooming themselves.
@Ilovemanchego From Marvel side Dormammu, Shuma-Gorath, Dark Phoenix and arguably Dr. Strange Thor and Ghost Rider can thold their own on Galactus just on their own power. From CAPCOM side Morrigan can definitely hold her own against Galactus, maybe Dante but I'm not familiar with DMC. From Ultimate MVC3 cast, Doctor Strange and Nova can be added. Then again countless much much lesser heroes and villains defeated Galactus in comic book history. With prep-time and plot armors/weapons.
@ProtonCannon Some of your choices work best, if Galactus fights like a giant cosmic snorlax and is very very hungry (which he usually acts and is) Instead of Dante I put Amaterasu on there unless its SMT Dante. Now if Galactus is actually serious and decently fed its another story.

On gamespot MvC3 fans think that galactus is on equal pair of living tribunal LOL or think that cosmic deity = celestial beings.
Dormammu conqured universes is on pair with skyfather which is the leader of all skyfathers (odin, zeus etc...) Outside his dimension and it took ancient one, sorcerer supreme, phoenix and others to blast him back in his own dimension and then closing the portal.

If Galactus could defeat dormammu in dark dimension that would mean he is on pair with celestial beings which control multiverses and realeties which he is not his powers are dwarfed compared to celestials.
And dormmamu outside his realm can take beating from phoenix, ancient one and sorcer supreme and as I recall phoenix almost alone pwned galactus so you are wrong on 2 arguments.
@1DarkMasK1 Phoenix only defeated Galactus in a different universe you are right, but it is basically non cannon, and according to some of the threads I read which a few actually have sources at full strength his power is near, I think it said Eternity, don't exactly qoute me on that, but Galactus while in Mephisto's realm, actually absorbed the realm itself and there was nothing Mephisto could do, look this up I can't remember which vs. page I went to but google should find it easily.
I know what you mean when Galactus was eating mephistos realm but still mephisto isnt that string as dormammu.
As I know about dormammus power level is that in his own realm his power is pretty much clesestial or at least virtualy celestial while outside his power is that of a skyfather, thanos etc...
but that still depends on writters who tend to change the mind about everything.
Maybe Galactus is stronger now then he was before and gain new powers or whatever.
Also if galactus with full power is like eternity is still pretty weak then dormammu with full power.
I remember that in the comics when dormammu was fighting doctor strange and eternity interupted the fight, Dormammu pwned eternity with a single thought.
Dormammu is really one of those characters that dont make any sense his ways of battle varies like one time he would play a chess game, other time he would fight strange 1 on 1 without powers etc...
@1DarkMasK1 I actually have that comic issue 6 right (never read because I got it very very recently)? Also let's agree to Disagree, but he didn't pwn eternity he did fight him though, if you give me 2 days I can tell you how it went.
I know one time he lost when was crushed against 2 planets which later exploded but in his own realm he pwned eternity and also other time he and his sister umarr also pwned eternity.
Dormammu & Umarr have no problems taking celestials down when they fight togheter.
My thought on Galactus in this game (other than that its awesome) is that finally there's a final boss in a fighting game that is a challenge yet not impossible to beat. I can beat him without using the same move like Shao Khan in Mortal Kombat. And I love the Galactus theme so that makes it more full of win.

@12Marxzero34 You just have to be alert when he goes at the back of the stage try to be "at least in the center of the stage" or at the left corner, when you see him flashing do the high jump, you see he does like 3 sets of lazer beams so if you do what I told you just 1 set of lazers will hit you and it will not hurt you "much" like the 3 sets at the same time, also try to do advance guard when doing that and you can avoid it.
On Hardest this f**k actually did the unblockable version FIVE TIMES IN A ROW!!!! Took two of my guys out, knocked him off balance the last two. He only had a little bit of health between those moments.
He does'nt lose health when he charges up the unblockable and time was ticking. He's really only worth playing on hardest.
To me Galactus as a boss never made any sense - i mean - the dude eats planets for breakfast... hadoken the guy all you want - it can't possibly do much :x
I just go dirt cheap in this game all the way through. I can murder this p***k without losing a team member, you have to break out the x factor on that cheap bastard and unleash all hell. Still, the last game was more complete but this one is okay.
@EckoNike1 You can't, no one can, you get bad luck if he actually uses that hyper, just switch to the character that has the lowest health in your team.
@Chidori328 hes actually not that hard, my advice is just attack as much as you can and block his swinging fists (pretty easy you can usually see them coming), then he has a grab move that u can counter with an assist (when he grabs u, call in assist) , and keep on switching out damaged characters to heal them. in the end hes gonna spam his laser fingers so u just block and hit him during intervals. u will likely be left with one member then so u use x factor and do some combos and u win.

On gamespot MvC3 fans think that galactus is on equal pair of living tribunal LOL or think that cosmic deity = celestial beings.
Dormammu conqured universes is on pair with skyfather which is the leader of all skyfathers (odin, zeus etc...) Outside his dimension and it took ancient one, sorcerer supreme, phoenix and others to blast him back in his own dimension and then closing the portal.

@1DarkMasK1 Actually Galactus is stronger than Dormammu, even if they fought in Dormammu's realm Galactus would absorb it, and everything else is correct as far as I know I just know that Galactus is Stronger than Dormammu.

If Galactus could defeat dormammu in dark dimension that would mean he is on pair with celestial beings which control multiverses and realeties which he is not his powers are dwarfed compared to celestials.
And dormmamu outside his realm can take beating from phoenix, ancient one and sorcer supreme and as I recall phoenix almost alone pwned galactus so you are wrong on 2 arguments.

@1DarkMasK1 Phoenix only defeated Galactus in a different universe you are right, but it is basically non cannon, and according to some of the threads I read which a few actually have sources at full strength his power is near, I think it said Eternity, don't exactly qoute me on that, but Galactus while in Mephisto's realm, actually absorbed the realm itself and there was nothing Mephisto could do, look this up I can't remember which vs. page I went to but google should find it easily.

I know what you mean when Galactus was eating mephistos realm but still mephisto isnt that string as dormammu.
As I know about dormammus power level is that in his own realm his power is pretty much clesestial or at least virtualy celestial while outside his power is that of a skyfather, thanos etc...
but that still depends on writters who tend to change the mind about everything.
Maybe Galactus is stronger now then he was before and gain new powers or whatever.

Also if galactus with full power is like eternity is still pretty weak then dormammu with full power.
I remember that in the comics when dormammu was fighting doctor strange and eternity interupted the fight, Dormammu pwned eternity with a single thought.
Dormammu is really one of those characters that dont make any sense his ways of battle varies like one time he would play a chess game, other time he would fight strange 1 on 1 without powers etc...

Well he didnt fight eternity like only once.
I know one time he lost when was crushed against 2 planets which later exploded but in his own realm he pwned eternity and also other time he and his sister umarr also pwned eternity.
Dormammu & Umarr have no problems taking celestials down when they fight togheter.

My thought on Galactus in this game (other than that its awesome) is that finally there's a final boss in a fighting game that is a challenge yet not impossible to beat. I can beat him without using the same move like Shao Khan in Mortal Kombat. And I love the Galactus theme so that makes it more full of win.

Mate, I strongly believe Hadoken came first. Street Fighter originally was a comic in Japan and Hadoken was in those comics.
Dragonball originally came out around the late 80's.
Anyway, onto the point, its true that Thor has fought God-like beings but the same can be said about alot of Capcom's side as well.

@12Marxzero34 You just have to be alert when he goes at the back of the stage try to be "at least in the center of the stage" or at the left corner, when you see him flashing do the high jump, you see he does like 3 sets of lazer beams so if you do what I told you just 1 set of lazers will hit you and it will not hurt you "much" like the 3 sets at the same time, also try to do advance guard when doing that and you can avoid it.

On Hardest this f**k actually did the unblockable version FIVE TIMES IN A ROW!!!! Took two of my guys out, knocked him off balance the last two. He only had a little bit of health between those moments.
He does'nt lose health when he charges up the unblockable and time was ticking. He's really only worth playing on hardest.

I just go dirt cheap in this game all the way through. I can murder this p***k without losing a team member, you have to break out the x factor on that cheap bastard and unleash all hell. Still, the last game was more complete but this one is okay.

@Chidori328 hes actually not that hard, my advice is just attack as much as you can and block his swinging fists (pretty easy you can usually see them coming), then he has a grab move that u can counter with an assist (when he grabs u, call in assist) , and keep on switching out damaged characters to heal them. in the end hes gonna spam his laser fingers so u just block and hit him during intervals. u will likely be left with one member then so u use x factor and do some combos and u win.
