you can also use a magnetic lasso to select the pic and polygonal lasso for the stripes ... by the way i am using CS3, it gets the job done so i have not moved on to CS4 or even CS5 yet

I hate CS5 it is unstable on my computer. It takes 10 seconds after I paint a line before it shows up. However on my dads slower computer it runs faster. We use the same OS, any idea of what the problem could be? Even after the updates it still doesn't work right and frequently crashes for no reason.
